  1. I think the only local team that has multiples is North - black, white & green.
  2. Be careful on I-69 South of Bloomington at night. This is a bad time of the year for deer v. car incidents and they don't always cross where they supposed to.
  3. The road team can control when the game is played now. If they don't want to leave school unusually early and travel on Friday night, they can choose Saturday. There's more competition for refs and fans on Saturdays with college football.
  4. The early favorite in the SIAC will be Mater Dei. Castle and Memorial lose a lot, but should have guys able to step up. Reitz has some solid players returning and is always good for a couple of new faces from the portal. Will be interesting to see what happens up at Jasper.
  5. MD has never been bumped up due to the SF in football
  6. I can pretty much guarantee you Hurley and Goebel have not and will not apply.
  7. Two goals in youth and MS football: (1) have fun; and (2) come back next year.
  8. Or just win a few more games. When other sports in your program are competing for state titles, it puts pressure on the ones that aren't to step up.
  9. LOL. Everybody had trouble with Jaylon Smith. He was incredible.
  10. I'm not a Heritage Hills fan. No question Luers has been a tremendous 2A program though the years. My feeling that HH will win 3A is not a crack on Luers. Truth be told, I know nothing about any of the teams in 3A North.
  11. To paraphrase Sir Charles Barkley when asked about Team USA's upcoming opponent (Angola) in the '92 Olympics, "I don't know nothin' about North Harrison, but North Harrison is in trouble."
  12. If Luers gets to LOS against Heritage Hills, message me and I'll gladly back up my runny mouth with a wager. Say $100 on the ML as a donation to the GID? Seems you forgot to make your donation this year anyway..
  13. Here were known as Reitz Memorial. Once we get out of Southern Indiana it seems to shift to Evansville Memorial..
  14. Heritage Hills will take care of that this year.
  15. I think we pretty much play where we are told to play. I can guarantee our Sectional gate share this year will be significantly higher than it was in 2023 when we were in 4A.
  16. That's what Coach Buening said on the WREF tournament pairings show back in October...
  17. Yep, can't imagine any new coach not wanting full control of the S&C program. Although it applies to all students and teams, the primary beneficiary and the largest group is the football team.
  18. Not all that surprising really. There was some chatter during the season. Jasper is a great job - resources, players, facilities, etc. The right person could turn this program into a tournament powerhouse.
  19. That is the impact of the "rolling" two-year cycle. Cathedral earned 1 point last year and 0 points this season. That is not enough to stay in 6A so they drop down to 5A.
  20. I'm interested to know what would have been your assignments between Sectionals 31 and 32? I don't see any geographic logic other than what the IHSAA did. I would be interested to see what the total gate receipt numbers are for Sectional 32. As pretty much everyone on here was saying since the assignments were made, whoever came out of Sectional 32 was going to be the prohibitive favorite to win 3A. That definitely still holds true.
  21. Great game! Congrats to the Patriots and best of luck the rest of the way!
  22. LOL. I usually get those by text...
  23. Chatard hasn't been a problem for us. 2008, 2009, or 2018. It's a mentality thing...
  24. With the exception of maybe the Bosse game (when it 35-0 at end of 1st Q and we stopped throwing the ball completely), I don't think we've won the time of possession battle in any game. I thought you said you had watched film on us? The O usually doesn't need a whole lot of time (and didn't last week in the 3rd Q). As I've said many times already this week, I realize HH is a great team and we will have to be nearly flawless to win.
