  1. HH uses HUDL, but we use SRN and I understand they will be there with the crew, so "our" broadcast with be via SRN who will have it linked to ihsaatv.org.
  2. Wish you and Jets had been more bored last week because it would have been nice to have had some perspectives on the game from the SR side leading up to the game. You forget we are city folk, we don't have pitchforks... I agree we will have to play much better. I expect we will, but it will be a tall task beating HH. We got impatient in the first half and took too many shots deep when the underneath routes were wide open. The goal line "fumble" on the first drive of the 3rd Q should have never happened anyway. On the play before, our FB was clearly in the endzone and his forward progress had not been stopped. I don't know if the sideline ref's view was blocked or what, but the FB has his upper body and the ball 1-2 yds. into the end zone. I also thought the WR had the ball across the goal line on the long catch that set up the 1st and goal from the 1 foot line on the play before the FB dive. Reasonable minds can disagree on the questionable DPI call. Either way, both TD drives in the 3rd Q were just a handful of plays and we moved the ball down the field with relative ease, mostly on 8-15 yd. runs. Ultimately, to have any chance against HH, we will have to spread the ball around, have some success running the ball if we can force HH to play sideline to sideline, mix in some screens (which we did not run against SR), and Fisher will likely have to run the ball more than the last two games. He's capable of doing that.
  3. tango's official picks: North @ Castle. North beat a cupcake last week, while Castle had a chippy game against a solid Floyd Central. The only team wearing green that beats Castle this year is Memorial in Wk. 9. Castle 28-14 over the Huskies. Boonville @ Reitz. I really thought Reitz would have its annual #discline implosion last week at Jasper, but they held it together to beat the JCats pretty easily. Boonville doesn't have the dogs to beat a now healthy Reitz. Panthers 35-13 over the Pioneers. Memorial @ Heritage Hills. As we know, only things good that come from Heritage Hills are the Legend, the Voyage and free refills. This game has the makings of a classic between two tradition-rich programs that used to see each other an an almost annual basis. Not so much the last few years. I have to skip being with my Tiger loved ones in Lincoln City and will instead spend the night glued to the iPad at Janko's in B-town with my dependents. Tigers 34-31 over the Patriots.
  4. I was wondering about that...
  5. Well, that and it also got me home 45 minutes earlier that night...
  6. 35-12 against VL. That 1 point is important to me... lol
  7. Is sr1 still around? Haven't heard from him in a while...
  8. #1 Memorial and #2 Heritage Hills have only met 17 times, all in the 3A tournament with 7 games being for the Sectional title and 2 being for a Regional title. The biggest game in Southwest Indiana by a mile.
  9. From John Harrell's site: North Harrison [8-3] at Evansville Memorial [11-0] or Heritage Hills [10-1] at Madison [6-4] or North Harrison [8-3] at Heritage Hills [10-1] or Madison [6-4] at Evansville Memorial [11-0] For what its worth, he predicts Madison over North Harrison 28-21. I don't know anything about either team, but I suspect whoever wins is probably in trouble in the Regional...
  10. The projections are all over the place...
  11. More meaningless info, this from Calpreps: Reitz Memorial (Evansville, IN) at Heritage Hills (Lincoln City, IN), 7:00pm [projection and percent chances to win: Reitz Memorial (Evansville, IN) 27 (72%) Heritage Hills (Lincoln City, IN) 19 (28%)]
  12. I'll take Castle, Reitz and Memorial to cover. Tigers on ML...
  13. I saw the game. I'm just surprised Lincoln was able to mount 2 drives that ate up clock and yards. Lincoln didn't do much when we saw them. But they also have some more games under belt since we played.
  14. I'll take: Castle (-10) against North. Reitz (-18) against Boonville Memorial (+4) at Heritage Hills
  15. yea, they couldn't do anything after the half...
  16. I watched it Saturday morning. Castle was a little too demonstrative for my liking and did have a couple of penalties of their own, but nothing like Floyd Central. Like when the FC kid not only ripped McCool's helmet off while he was on the ground, but also threw it 10 yds. downfield. I thought FC could have used some settling down at that point. I also noticed at one point an FC player lost his helmet and was instructed to leave the field, but the FC coach motioned for him the stay on the field and the ref didn't catch it.
  17. I'm kinda surprised HH gave up 14 1st half points to Lincoln... As for my thoughts on our game Friday night... I thought our D did exactly what we wanted, which was not take any chances and force SR to try to sustain long drives. While they had yards in the middle of the field, they didn't get into the red zone until the 4Q when the game was already over. I thought our QB was a little impatient in the first half and passed up some opportunities underneath. That was obviously addressed at the half because we were sue we were 4 of 6 on the two drives to open the 2nd half, and 1 of the incompletes was DPI. SR was showing a light box so we ran the ball. I also don't think we opened the whole playbook. I have not heard whether the Indiana SRN crew will be streaming the game. They do all our games. Since HH uses the HUDL production, we may not want to incur the SRN cost. Either way it should be on ihsaatv.org. I sure as heck hope so... I expect we'll see more guys going both ways this week. We really haven't had to do it much yet. Should be a great environment Friday. While Tango rarely misses a Tiger game by choice, I'll be in B-Town at Janko's Friday night so I'll be watching on the iPad.
  18. Agreed. We didn't play very well, due in no small part to SR. SR QB #2 is a tough player. Congrats to both sides for a pretty clean game and especially for showing good sportsmanship and helping each other up from the turf, etc.
  19. it was chippy, but when your team has 3-4 15 yd face mask penalties, 3-4 unsportsmanlike conduct penalties and a player ejected it takes courage to call anything associated with the other team trashy and embarrassing.
  20. Sagarin numbers jumped tonight, as I thought they might..
  21. Sorry, I could not see the direction arrows earlier on my iPad for whatever reasons. Should be a great night for football. Safe travels to the Raider fans attending.
  22. Yep, for the SR folks (although none seem to be around), on the picture N is to the right. You should avoid being S of the stadium (left of Washington Ave). There are also plenty of street parking E and NE of A & B parking lots.
  23. The QB was Lindauer and I would bet good money the WR who chewed him out was his cousin, Branson Combs, who now plays at Wake Forest. Do you think Catholics aren't supposed to cuss? Why the f do you think we go to f'ing confession?
