It was week 1 with 3 freshman starters and like 5 or so sophomores….against a team with a lot of seniors. It’s the only loss THS has so far too GS just got a win over the defending 5A state champs in KY….only a 4 point win. Is that better for you lol if people think Chatard can play with these teams….then West Lafayette and Gibson Southern can give them a run for their money too. do they have to play a more perfect game? Commit fewer mistakes/turnovers? Absolutely. But don’t just assume that mid level 6A teams will have a walk in the park against the top of 3A. GS and WL might be 4A in a few years from enrollment and if they were 4A playing the same schedule this conversation wouldn’t happen lol

I mean I almost always just listen to the radio call so it really depends how they call the game. from what I could tell South Warren had a lot of false starts and a few offsides. Then there were some that were bonehead plays like late hits or unsportsmanlike At times the broadcasters thought that there should have been some DPIs against SW. that was about it but I don’t think the broadcasters knew that there is a 4 ⭐️ DB on south warren and a number of other college worthy kids on that defense. It’s more likely that those kids were just great athletes and it was a bang bang play on the ball my take away was that GS was much more disciplined than SW. most of SWs calls were entirely preventable. GS on the other hand had I believe 1 false start and 1 holding call outside of the kickoff issue so it was a pretty clean game. I feel like the game was called fair. I’m biased to GS but I don’t think anyone can argue that the refs didn’t call a fair game. Most of the penalties were essentially presnap including the illegal kicks.

Thanks for the clarification. The radio call kept saying it was offsides on the kicker. and I didn’t know they made a rule for those kicks or had a name for them. It makes me happy that it’s no longer allowed. From a personal perspective, I had my leg broken in high school because of a “pop up” kick

Are you a ref or just visiting? i only ask because I want to know how a kicker can be called offsides on a kickoff happened twice last night and I’m just thinking to myself “how is that even possible?” Lol

Battle of undefeated teams #1 PAC Big school vs #1 PAC Small school Gibson Southern coming off a huge game and huge win and now have to go into Southridge Southridge quietly dominating all year and I believe they have only allowed 1 Td through 4 games. certainly not trying to count chickens before they hatch….but if there was a conference championship game between the big school and small school division….this would be that game

Im personally a big fan of the mercy rule so if I see a score like this I just know it had to be a bunch of big play TDs and it would have probably been double the score potentially under the old system can’t really be upset about these scores anymore because we have the right system in place and from my perspective the coaches in Indiana are generally a class act.

This is a weird week for Sagarin. Outside of 3A you have Cathedral ranked 1st over Brownsburg despite Brownsburg handily beating them. inside 3A….Gibson Southern gets a score 0 for SoS playing an out of state opponent in South Warren. just going to be weird with Sagarin having GS as the 9th best 3A team while the IFCA/AP polls will have them at either #1 or #2

Haha I don’t gamble. Haven’t even been inside a casino once in my life. Swear to god lol i started to get pretty pumped up when GS scored after they kicked the field goal making it 24-21. When that happened I was just hoping and praying for 1 more td lol lucky guess but i just felt like that was going to be the score
