  1. I completely missed that. That makes 2A south a lot more difficult
  2. That’s certainly a word to use haha I think the one guy learned his lesson on not biting off more than he can chew when it comes to smack talk on here
  3. Probably the main reason Princeton always struggles. The students largely don’t care for football and no matter the head coach they are fighting numbers the best years of Princeton in at least the last 20 years was when Schenk was there and had 70+ kids out for football
  4. Is Vincennes in the middle of a park? I recall something about it but I never made it to a game there. I believe the last time GS played VL in Vincennes was like 2011 in sectionals and I had a broken leg so I didn’t go to that game Could have had another game there but I definitely haven’t visited.
  5. There are only a handful left probably has something to do with if a school wants a new field, the only way they get funding is if it’s multi purpose. See a lot of turf football fields now with soccer and lacrosse lines…and the track part is always a given
  6. I mean…I can’t speak for the tailgating. as for the Jewell I love it….but if it were 2 other teams not named Gibson southern playing there…it wouldn’t be the same ya know?
  7. Oh I don’t really think The Jewell is that great either what makes the Jewell great is the fan atmosphere not the venue itself. It’s just a nice clean field nothing special Quick ranking without too much thought 1) Reitz bowl 2) Snake Pit 3) Enlow 4) South Spencer ( I believe their field has no track so the bleachers are right there. Crowd is super close to the action)
  8. Man how drunk are you? I threw more shade at you personally yesterday in here than anything else I said….and responding to a VL fans comments directed at me….THATS WHAT SENT YOU OVER THE EDGE?!?!?!? of all the things I said to you in the last 48hrs….me laughing at a comment and saying “hey lets talk in sectionals”….that’s the button you can’t have pushed? lay off the drink dude
  9. You’re so delusional it’s unreal. Idk how you can read @SEAL_63comments and then accuse me for just questioning the shade they are throwing. Like WTH? VL and GS are in the same sectional now too…so we can just save this for a potential matchup. i don’t know how you came away with I’m the one throwing shade here but keep barking on the sidelines
  10. Meh. It’s alright. Cooler driving by it at night during a game than actually being there. But that’s just my opinion and how I feel about most venues.
  11. Slighted? Passed on for Lincoln?!?!? 😂😂😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣🤣 tell ya what….I’ll just let this go and we can revisit this come sectionals
  12. BTW @DT im sure you noticed before you posted…but on the Facebook page where you shared the PAC map…..it has markers for Wood Memorial and Cannelton haha. im sure you know it’s outdated and It was probably the only one you could find too. But just in case
  13. Yeah and during that stretch of time and under the old defensive scheme…GS simply couldn’t stop the run against teams who were great at it. Devin Mockobee running for like 450 yards and 5 TDs lives rent free in my head. I can still see the clip that went viral where he broke like 15 tackles for a 85 yard td or something stupid. Last year was a blessing to have a defense that could just shut down the run at will
  14. It’s all because Illinois wanted to go to districts and then changed their mind and it was all a mess. I just want to see Gibson Southern and Mt. Carmel play against each other once in my lifetime. A good chunk of the GS community at one point was in Mt. Carmel. My parents went to high school there, coach John Hart really made a name for himself there…I think a lot of the GS coaching staff at one point had some connection to either that town or coaching the golden aces. for 2 schools separated by no more than 15 miles and a river…it’s really a surprise that at least to my knowledge and ability to find it…they have never played against each other.
  15. If 2017 central was the time where they had the evans brothers, I think it would have gone about the same. GS simply didn’t have the speed that central had. but this 2024 class is arguably the fastest group of guys GS has had. 3 of the 4x100 sprinters that broke the GS school record in the event this year are on the team and they are only juniors. I mean shoot….we actually had a return game last year haha and we almost never have that. So there is a lot of promise with this junior class as they continue to develop.
  16. I just thought this was cool and thought it was worth sharing. outside of the Reitz Bowl, The Snake Pit is about it when it comes to memorable football fields in the area. looks really nice. Now if only they could install an escalator 😅
  17. Coming from the guy who shouts from the sidelines on this forum. At least the other Memorial guys actually talk the subject. You just pop in every once in a while and type 2 sentences of sarcastic garbage. you’re probably the guy who has to one up everyone at the memorial tailgate
  18. Arguing 10v1 in the SIAC thread is tiring…..so I’ll take this for now and come back another day to stir the pot and argue this
  19. Agreed. Any team who can beat Mater Dei or Memorial is definitely in the discussion. it’s not even an enrollment issue…the best SIAC schools are the smallest ones and about the same enrollment or less than most of the PAC
  20. You guys could make this all go away though if you just concede that the SIAC and PAC are on par with each other for football. but who am I kidding…nobody is going to convince memorial fans that they aren’t better than everyone PAC thread is honestly more GS dads trying to get Heritage Hills dads to spill the beans and the reverse it’s all about gauging how HH vs GS will be
  21. I don’t have my paper where I tallied all of these but I am thinking I forgot Boonville because I tallied old Big8/current PAC separate from historic PAC And I know 3 of their wins came during their 1 good season of 2013. no matter how you look at it though…it’s not good for the SIAC argument because all you are going to do is pound your chest that your 3rd worst team is competitive with the very bottom of the PAC
  22. God I went through and looked at every game from the SIAC over the last 10 years Vs the current PAC and I missed that one
  23. BOSSE IS 9-8 VS THE BOTTOM OF THE PAC. how the hell do you keep coming back saying the bottom of the SIAC is better when bosse is 500 with Princeton, Pike Central, and Washington?!?!?!? that quite literally shows that the bottom of the SIAC has a 50/50 chance of beating the bottom of the PAC
  24. Again trying to move the goal posts. But hey…with these arguing skills it’s no wonder nobody actually read your opinions about Mr Football (and I’m not talking just 2021 🙃)
