34-0 at the half feels like GS should have at least 2 scores but they are taking care of the football and the game is going pretty clean. Just can’t stop the run at all. but hey this is why you play up. Get your bell rung and learn how to respond. Better to learn to stop the run vs 6A non conference games than vs Teams fighting for the PAC title

Can’t put it all together but seemingly doing well enough on offense GS is struggling to stop the RB for CN. Kid is running over people, refusing to go down. 10:11 left in 2nd

3 things 1) Coach Hart (as well as the other coaches on the team) have shown themselves to be one of the absolute best minds when it comes to designing plays/running offenses at the high school level. The past decade+ Hart has shown nothing but an absolute talent for running offenses no matter what level of talent he is working with (not that I think your dig at the GS skill players is in anyway accurate) 2) Brady throws dimes left right and center ...and he is seemingly even better when the game is on the line and it’s coming down to the wire. Even with the great QB play from Scheller and the Sellers from 2010-2017 I don’t think any of them have been as clutch as Brady...and that’s high praise. If GS needs to drive the length of the field and score with 2 minutes left in the game, the kid gets it done and finds his guys with seemingly perfect accuracy 3) Central>Jasper and without a single doubt in my mind. Comparing HH to GS by how they faced these two teams in a scrimmage of all things is silly...but if we must go down this rabbit hole it ends with Central just being a better team...and probably by a wide margin imo

No idea. Just seen that Week 2 is back open I’m hoping for Lawrenceburg/Guerin if they are available. 2 good 3A programs ranked in the top 10 of polls right now. makes too much sense to pass on that opportunity if it’s there.

Haven’t seen a thread about this matchup so I guess I’ll get it started? no idea on what to expect from Columbus North. I know they are a 6A school and are competitively about the same as Southport. cant say I’m too optimistic about GS’s chances, really would love to see this matchup mid season. does anyone have insight on Columbus North? Any fans here?

I’ll take North over castle 31-28 reitz over Harrison 42-14 Central over Mayer dei 24-21 memorial over Jasper 28-17 lincoln over bosse 35-28 side note. So much easier now knowing there are just 5 matchups to predict all in conference

3A should probably flip Lawrenceburg and Heritage Hills. everything I have seen and heard signals Lawrenceburg has a special senior group right now. but hey it’s Week 1. If they take care of business they will move up. im just glad we are finally at that point where rankings and games are happening.

Has anyone even mentioned other PAC schools? I’ve only seen Gibson Southern talked about. anyways. Nice shiny spoon you got on that line. Hope the fishing is well

I don’t remember the travel restrictions for Indiana but I know it’s just under 500 miles from where I live in Green Bay to Ft Branch, IN. I imagine it has to be close where a team from Terra Haute/Indy could play a team from Appleton/Madison/Oshkosh/Fond du Lac. I would seriously pay good money to see a Warren/Ben Davis/Carmel/Center Grove team face off against Kimberly. Probably will never happen though. Not a fun drive between the toll ways or the completely empty stretch from Kankakee to terra haute. It’s already an 8-10 hour drive from Green Bay to Evansville (a trip I’m making in 2 weeks) and I wouldn’t wish even half of that trip on a bus driver and team.

This team really isn’t playing around this year lol. They are making sure they get to play tough opponents week in and week out

Did I see someone suggest Chatard May be available for week 2? if that’s the case the conversation should not mention any other teams 😂. GS fans want that game. I’m sure the chatard fan base will be good for it too....it’s a 3A semi state game that we all would love to see in the regular season

Logan Murfin for Gibson Southern he finished last year among the other WRs with.... 28 receptions (4th on team) 502 yards (3rd on team) 6 touchdowns (3rd on team) very solid year but he had 3 very talented Seniors to battle with for targets and was productive in the reps he did get rotating in. Now that they have graduated, he seems primed to take over as one of the top targets. We all know about Brady Allen and how good of a QB he is, so with easily 130+ targets becoming vacant. He is a senior so it’s more/less a later breakout but he had a very productive year last year none the less and should improve greatly upon his performance. who knows though. Gibson Southern could find themselves throwing a lot more this year with the new schedule. In the game against Southport they passed the ball 30 times. I could see the titans throwing it more than 300 times this year without the need for a deeper playoff run. should they make it as far as LOS I think 400-500 pass attempts is well within range...which is A LOT for a high school team. So with this might see some of the other kids get a lot of volume and breakout. But I like this Murfin kid.
