I don’t see the point in debating with somebody fixated on stats but Curry’s value is obvious to those who watched him play. Ask opposing coaches who had them altering their game plans more than Curry. The answer is nobody. The plan against CG was a quick pass because anything else would lead to a sack or a QB running for his life and Curry was usually faster than the QB. Strength to fight through constant double teams, length to bat down passes over the middle, speed to run the ball down, and excellent technique for it all. Want to run against our 3-man front? Good luck. Each man covered at least two gaps. How good is Curry? So good that teams opted to run at our Michigan State recruit instead. Curry is a freak of nature. He’s stronger, faster, more technically sound, and more aggressive than his opponents. I’m not sure he has a weakness. Maybe he could be taller? You will be watching him play for a long time. And note that I not only avoided the stat crutch, I also said nothing negative about Allen.

It was catty and childish. At the end of the day CG and Carmel are out of the MIC. The MIC vote and especially the press release were on par with middle school mentality. I wonder if DT / HHF wrote it for them. 🤣 Now if Merrillville and Penn are serious about getting better they need to be amending their schedules to fill in the voids.

The obvious bias toward large schools and Indy area schools. The unfair advantage of P/Ps. How many of the coaches get free & reduced lunches. I'm sure there's more.

How or why could a school not be open to transfers? If a kid moves into your school district are there coaches who wouldn't let them play because they transferred in? Hard to imagine. If the kid moves in and both ADs sign off then I see no problem.

CG's next QB will be Tyler Cherry. He's very talented and athletic but nowhere near as athletic as Tayven. Great QB physique once he puts a few pounds on. Very good arm. Smart. Will be exceptional once he gains the confidence that only comes with experience.

Maybe. I live in the Indy area and don't subscribe to the Star. Why would a coach in another part of the state given how the Star obviously has it in for the rest of the state?

I greatly doubt that varsity head coaches are being influenced by sports writers at the star.
