After seeing Harrison on the road at Jeff last night and seeing Plainfield knock off Decatur Central, I'm going to pick Harrison to take Sectional 13.

Using some of that transitive football math and looking at the Guerin-Chatard matchup, perhaps LCC might be better off than they appeared to be earlier on. Then again, Seeger escaped Fountain Central by 1 last night, so maybe we toss the transitive math and just see if the IHSAA will let us use the ping pong balls before we get to tourney season. It'd be easier than the math part and would make the cost per use of those ping pong balls drop.

This one was worth every penny on the admission. It was back and forth the whole night long, tied at the half, and came down to a game-winning TD after a drive with about two minutes left and a pick to seal it.

Anyone have beaucoup on the over/under?

Definitely paid off! Harrison scored on every possession tonight except for the one at the end of the game after picking off Jeff's QB to seal the win and the last possession of the 1st half with just about 45 seconds on the clock after getting the kickoff. No turnovers for Harrison tonight!

Harrison allows a big return. Jeff takes advantage and ties it up at 13 with 48 seconds left in half.

Jeff scores, but PAT is blocked. Harrison still leads 10-6 with 5 minutes left in Q2.

Harrison pushes in a TD on a 1 yard QB keeper. Leads Jeff 10-0 with a bit over 10 minutes left.

Harrison forces Jeff to punt. End of Q1. Harrison 3-0 and driving deep in Jeff territory.

Harrison eats up 7 minutes on opening drive and caps it with a field goal. Leads Jeff 3-0. 5 minutes left in Q1.

Reminds me of a scene with one of those traveling road shows and they hit a town where the crowd just doesn't appreciate the show and all of a sudden a volley of tomatoes comes in. Then another heavy wave and a third heavier wave. As the performers rush from the stage, being pelted by even heavier waves of tomatoes, the head actor questions, "Where the hell are getting all of those tomatoes from?"

It's turning into Johnson waving activity in some cases. Had a middle school coach tell me that they had a game in which they got wiped out. After the game, they were having their team meeting on the field talking about what went well and the many things that they needed to work on and the other team's players basically came over and kept circling their team. I'm appalled that any coach would allow his team to encroach anywhere near another team's meeting or gathering ... and especially with the reasoning, direct or indirect, of flexing/agitating/taunting.

Interesting near 180 shift in just a season.
