I will say this and goes for both sides Until you're in those moments as an competitor (coach) or participant (player) you don't know how you will respond Football is a very emotional game, especially in this type of game, Danville down 3 touchdowns, comes storming back, BJ makes a wild lateral play, goes to OT, then a stop, but not a stop, and all that. I don't fault Danville rushing the field and getting to the other side to shake hands, don't blame the BJ assistant coaches trying to alert officials, to cast judgments about how you would act, or what you would say IMMEDIATELY after something like this happens ..... cmon man, if you watched all the way to the end of the game, and camera was still rolling, you could see Coach Comer trying to keep it collected then you watch him walk away very emotional (rightfully so) and just literally drops to his knees ....... Coaches and players even in HS are not robots, so much time goes into this profession even at the HS level, to cast statements such as, I am glad he wasn't my coach making those statements about life lessons, etc etc is odd to me. Until you're in those situations then you won't know how you react or what you say in those moments IMMEDIATELY after your heart is ripped out. That was important for me to say

I believe on the "X" clip that @Bobrefposted earlier there was indeed Brebeuff coaches (not HC) immediately in officials ear. as seen here @FastpacedO You can see 3 assistant coaches immediately trying to beg for the flag. So I believe that is why the optics along with the judgement made has many in Danville and Football community nationwide ( I Have had friends from Texas and NY ask me about this very play).

At some point, Coaches who believe that they know how to coach the position of QB can stop dipping into portal dudes and develop their own. Shocking to hear, but that is long term success and you know what you are getting. If I am IU, I am NOT hitting QB PORTAL, develop Jackson, flip HS 5 * all good vs sending the message to your squad at the most important position QB that the guys we have here are not good enough so getting someone to take your job/reps. Vicious cycle to play imo.

I do not listen to AM radio on my daily commute from CP to Rensselaer...... I know Jurko of course. great dude and a guy I would listen to. I think eye test matters. Last year, the players played their nuts off for FLUS in a season of disarray and he held firm and was unwavered.....that is a key point. He will continue to learn better stuff, but I am more patient then the average Joe in that regard, but also understand others who are not and why they are not

Valid points no doubt Just don't see Tomlin undressing a player in the media either in 2024, just something Professionals do. He may have a different tone than FLUS, sure, but blood thirst of the fans will not be given by any NFL HC. Just my opinion
