  1. They did drop down to 4A a few years ago, but there record was basically the same.
  2. I wasn’t aware of SHS’ new league…
  3. I also think Shelbyville, Richmond, and Jennings County aren’t faring all that well…
  4. Very good question. Much like Crown Point, there is a lot of money in the community which does support the school. They are also in a very winnable league, but the last 10 years have been very unkind to them. I’m not sure if it’s a coaching thing or what…
  5. I agree as I don’t see them winning more than 2,league games per season.
  6. Thanks! As I said I don’t know them all, especially the 812. That being said, both Terre Haute North and South have been on the road to nowhere. How will the upcoming Hautian High fare? Thanks for chiming in, but as I said I don’t know them all. Then again, most NCC schools aren’t world-beaters on the gridiron.

  8. Not every school in the state can put out great seasons on a continual basis. Although I don’t know them all, here are a few: Indianapolis North Central—one of the biggest schools in the state, never that good in recent memory. Noblesville—it’s not like Hamilton County doesn’t have any talent… Highland—used to be a top school years ago, but the wheels have come off. Anderson—have they ever been any good at a sport not named basketball? Muncie Central—same deal a little further north on I-69. Washington—yet another basketball school that can’t seem to put together a winner Madison—have always struggled it seems. Benton Central—can never put it together despite having good athletes Frankfort—the worst program in the state, a total embarrassment. 1A schools are beating the crap out of these jokers and I can’t fathom why.
  9. 16 of 25 from the Indianapolis area. Got it…
  10. Westfield’s Dillon Thieneman with the pick.
  11. And what matrixes/criteria do you use?
  12. As a Region Resident (not Rat because I bathe), I am in complete agreement. In addition to Crown Point; Merrillville, Chesterton, Michigan City, Lowell, Hobart, Andrean all have quality programs. There are more I missed, but sports up here are a big deal.
  13. Maybe the Greater South Shore, but maybe not. Too many bigger schools, such as Griffith, who ironically left the NWCC because they were getting beat badly in most sports.
  14. Caston and winning football are two separate things.
  15. I guess I must eat crow here, bad news all around…
  16. You’re spot on about Coach McKim. I remember chatting with Lowell’s AD after his hire and happiness was the going sentiment .
  17. Andrean has always proven to be an interesting matchup. Munster should be a cakewalk, but KV (who is coached by the ol’ ball coach himself in Kirk Kennedy) could be a test.
  18. From the region: Crown Point…was Crown Point. Lowell is finding its groove as well.
  19. Lowell 7, Hobart 7 2nd stanza
  20. That’s why they play the game.,,
