    This guy just tries too hard. Most conferences will stay where they are and add or subtract for geographical reasons only. Contraction is also very far-fetched. Has the IHSAA ever shut down anyone just because they’re stuck in a losing streak?

    DT, as we all know, is very opinionated and very extreme. I was on HPG for awhile, but it didn’t really go anywhere. Football is a great game, let’s not worry about competitive balance and contraction among other maladies. I’m pretty sure that’s up to administrators.

    I like this move. It’s not like the Lafayette and Terre Haute schools haven’t had long drives in the past.

    Although the Chicago metropolitan area with its adjacent coutines of Dupage, Lake, Will, Kane, Kendall, and McHenry (among others) would appear to have a stranglehold on sports, there are plenty of other good areas. Moline, Peoria, East St. Louis are just a few good examples.

    Interesting viewpoints. I say this: football is merely a spoke in the hub system of high school sports. Perhaps EC’s basketball, cross-country, track, volleyball programs happen to like playing against schools such as Franklin County as the football team can go independent…

    Going to a MAC school (Miami). Sure, that particular one usually contends for league titles and offers an excellent education, I wonder if schools such as Purdue and Kentucky offered.
