  1. Interesting take. I know the Panthers are pretty good in football, but as for everything else like basketball, they're pretty average.
  2. Still on this: 6A only: Crown Point, Lake Central, Portage (DAC); Elkhart, Penn (NIC); Carroll, Homestead, Northrop (SAC), with the interloper being the Bengal (or Fighting) Tigers of Warsaw (NLC, but they need love, too). A little more creativity to bring it to 16 would ensue adding Merrillville and Valparaiso from the DAC, Dwenger and Snider from the SAC, and since I don't consider anyone else worthy from the NIC, I'd advocate for Huntington North, Munster, and Plymouth to make it even. Championship game at Notre Dame Stadium as I'm sure they wouldn't mind... Let the games begin.
  3. I still like my idea of a NIC megaconference--Schererville to Ft. Wayne--6A schools only...
  4. In a weird way, I would like to see a Northern Indiana mega-conference: Lake to Allen County. Match-ups I'd love to see: Crown Point-Homestead, Penn-Carroll, and Valparaiso-Elkhart. Many more I'm sure...
  5. Or maybe Penn could form the Hated Independents Conference (HIC--love it) with Carmel, Cathedral, and Center Gove...
  6. What are we warring about now? Regardless, I've learned a lot about labor unions and breakfast foods as opposed to two fine athletic conferences. BTW, I was born in the 1970, there I'm not a boomer...
  7. If he's gone, so be it. It was a nice ride, but now it's time to see what Jordan Love can do. I hate saying this, but with Aaron Jones, are the Packers more of a running team now?
  8. Took care of business against a pretty good Rutgers team (#3 in defensive efficiency in the nation for those of you who are into rakings) today. Then it's either MSU or OSU before the final on Sunday.
  9. Given that super/mega/ultra/hella/insert your own superlative thing in the NCAA, could it work in the IHSAA? MIC-HCC DAC-Northern Indiana Conference Indiana-Southern Indiana North Central-Hoosier Heritage Allen County-Northeast 8 Pocket-Patoka Lake Hoosier-Three Rivers Midwest-Hoosier Heartland
  10. Interesting. Might need to add one more heavyweight as I don't the the powers that be at Jeff being too thrilled about playing these smaller schools.
  11. As a South Newton alumnus, I wouldn't mind having Caston back in the league. Yeah, I know of the distance between Kentland and Rochester is a long one, but the current MWC membership is too low.
  12. Another Amish hotbed is Barr-Reeve HS in Montgomery. They don't have a football team, but if they did...
  13. I think they probably will. It does not set a very good precedent, though. I'm gonna list a few teams, what do you think would happen to the coach? New Castle Perry Meridian Crown Point Homestead Hammond Central Shelbyville Martinsville Evansville Bosse Lafayette Jefferson South Bend Clay All equal justice?
