  1. I just hope a season will be played. My good buddy, Dann Ellenewood, thinks so...
  2. True, but BC has always been a basketball first school. In fact, their long time AD, Dick Atha who recently passed away, was a standout, even played in the NBA.
  3. Another QB--never a bad thing to have. I just hope he stays committed and signs.
  4. Noted. But standings always do cascade. Although it’s SN’s turn at the bottom now, they’ll start winning eventually while some other team, such as NN or TC might find a hard time winning, And with Pioneer and Winamac bolting, I think it had to do with geography as well as wins and losses.
  5. The Midwest Conference is doing just fine. There is too much legend and tradition for any member school to consider packing it in.
  6. This will be a herculean task--I pray for all the players.
  7. I agree, and conversely feel the same way about South Newton and Tri-County. That led me a little surprised when TC left for another conference a few years back and left the Rebels playing league games in Illinois. It was a fairly good run, but I'm glad they got the bad back together with TC, Frontier, North White, West Central, and new bass player North Newton. They still could use a few backup singers/dancers which is why Caston, Triton, or even Boone Grove might not be such a bad idea. Yes it would. The reason for my rather negative comments is that I had just driven back from Chicago and had to endure tornado warnings in Merrillville and Crown Point. Luckily, the Gippermobile and I emerged unscathed...
  8. You’re spot on. I remember all those trips to Caston. And Pioneer. And Winamac. Who knows, the MWC could be a good option for the Comets.
  9. Maybe, but look at the logistics: Kentland is about a 90 minute drive and Morocco/Lake Village is about the same. It’s a little better for North White, Tri-County, and West Central, but still a haul. Then again, I wanted Triton the other day...
  10. I’d venture to say this issue is much bigger than a handful of recruits...
  11. As I would also attest it is not a good day for the Hawkeyes, I don't feel it makes the conference look good as they are a long time member.
  12. Sad day for the B1G--we're better than that...
  13. only if the IHS 2 A are none the wiser
  14. Heard it on 107.1 this morning, before I clashed with a young lady who wasn’t of the opinion that speed needs to be monitored it parking lots.
  15. We don’t know Rusty’s motivation for his actions, but I’ll bet it wasn’t an easy decision.
  16. Happens, man. But at least your alma mater isn’t coming off a winless season with as many seniors as sophomores. Then again, nobody gets all the cards...
  17. Hope it works out. Always great to see new blood at the Luke...especially from Northern Indiana.
  18. Oh. So it might be more than just Portage’s unsubstantiated talent pool? Hmmm...
  19. This just in, sports fans: Russell Radtke is taking his talents to...Knox!!! Indians for Redskins.
