  1. LC and CP do as well. I just feel like he was making a cop out.
  2. Of course we can: add schools like Crete-Monee, Mt. Carmel, and New Trier in Illinois, and Bayport and Catholic Memorial in Wisconsin...
  3. Looks like it’s back! I’m happy for this, but given my doom and gloom outlook on things, I just hope it lasts...
  4. All for it, as those were just a few of my silly ideas. Why not a rematch of the state finals a few years ago? Lowell-East Central. Maybe Andrean vs. Evv. Mater Dei or Penn taking on New Palestine, plenty of options.
  5. I actually want to see more: Merrillville-Center Grove Harrison-Jeffersonville East Noble-Jasper West Lafayette-Vincennes Andrean-Linton Parke Heritage-West Washington
  6. I actually like it. Intersectional things are a good thing in my humble opinion.
  7. A little extra time on a bus, big deal. The season will never go down in history for normalcy.
  8. Splitting hairs?
  9. It’s all good. Although there has been a dearth of Region presence at LOS in recent years (with the exception of Lowell), athletics are (where have I said this be?) very cyclical thing. You could very well see Andrean, Hobart, Merrillville, and Valpo make noise in thus year’s tournament. Beyond that, Crown Point, Hammond Morton, Lake Central, Munster, and Whiting (in addition to many others) have the potential to do something.
  10. 1. I don’t really care about Highland all that much. 2. No way they get invites before schools like Hanover and Wheeler 3. Like Highland, I don’t care about Griffith all that much, but I do think their bolting was a bad move. 4. Noll will field a varsity team again. 5. Munster will be back, although it’s a bigger school, athletics are cyclical. 6. Merrillville’s schedule is fine as Hobart and Andrean would finish in the top half of the DAC. 7. I doubt it. The move is just speculation anyway. 8. I don’t know, but will ask him the next time I’m shooting craps at Blue Chip. 9. A little of both. Both are needed. 10. Jury’s still out as NN, Rensselaer, and Wheeler aren’t a murderers row. 11. They shouldn’t, but get an F in overlooking a quality team. 12. Football at EC is just conditioning for basketball. 13. San Dimas High School Football rules.
  11. No kidding, stay on point! It’s unfortunate that this is happening to MC, hopefully they’ll be playing by the time Sectionals roll around.
  12. Better yet, how many will be allowed in?
  13. It was different, I swear to God it was.
  14. Lowell up by 19 against Wheeler, Hanover Central mauled Culver Military Academy Getting it done in South County...
  15. Roselawn is actually is Newton County--their kids go to North Newton.
  16. I received that message also. I blame DT.
  17. Funny you say that, for the outdoor prep at the Gipper Grille, I just went with onion powder and pepper on the burgers—magnifique!
  18. Any given Friday. OK, so it’s a given that Pioneer isn’t your run of the mill 1A (or in this case 2A) program, but I was amazed they were able to hang with and eventually beat a 6A program. Chesterton is no slouch athletically, so I just give a ton of credit to Pioneer’s well-seasoned (couldn’t resist :)) coaching staff.
  19. I was somehow thinking that.
  20. But if you want my 1A-6A inter-sectional games, here goes: Crown Point-Switzerland County Warsaw-North Davies Noblesville-Culver You’re welcome.
  21. Good question, probably not because those schools are in the metro areas.
  22. It improves the psyche for small school teams across the state. The DAC is the DAC, they’ll be fine.
  23. I think we all were. Going forward, I’m hoping all of the little schools take a “Why not us?” approach to both practice and play.
