It is a haul, regardless if 3 lines are being added to I-65. Furthermore, I actually believe DT!!! The Region and NWI are two separate things. Newsflash, I'm a (proud) SN alum. Yes SN is in Northwest Indiana, but not in the Region. I consider Kentland and Goodland much more aligned with Lafayette. Going to the mall meant Tippecanoe, not Southlake. Pierogis? Although I am proudly Polish, but most people in my neck of the woods don't know what they are. Dem, Der, and Dose--whatever, enough Ditka speak.

The Region will be back. The enrollment numbers are there, it just needs to come together more. Valpo has made great strides, Lowell is consistently tough (as are NCC compatriots Andrean and Hobart), let’s see who’s next—KV? Michigan City? Hanover? Couldn’t tell you, that’s why they play the games.

I read the times every now and then—KV , RCHS, and North Newton all get limited coverage. My Rebels, not so much, but they do in the Journal & Courier.

It’s quite a situation: the cases nationwide are going down (per Fox News), but so much for teams as the Cardinals snd Mets in MLB and Notre Dame football (and my guess there are many more teams). What are we doing wrong?

If you take MLB as a model, they wanted to keep travel to a minimum which is why the Cubs (sorry, the FIRST PLACE CUBS) are playing Detroit this week as opposed to any of the NL West teams. Additionally, football is far from the only sanctioned sport in the IHS Double A. How you would like to be on the Lake Central wrestling team and go all the way to Elkhart or Mishawaka on a Thursday night and have to take an Economics exam the next morning?

Interesting theories. La Porte and Michigan City won’t leave, where would they go? But if lunacy prevailed, Munster and other large NCC would be looked at first.

I loved Week 1! After my initial skepticism that I hid from, well, no one, it was great to take in the action. There were the predictable outcomes as well as the surprise upsets no one saw coming which makes high school football so great. To Week 2...

I think South Newton plays West Central next week, should be interesting as the PC Warriors are getting smoked by North Newton.
