  1. He's earned the right to hang it up whenever he chooses. He's the voice of Friday Night and I'll listen to him as long as he has left.
  2. We will have the seeding debate and the all in vs Ohio playoff method debate as well. My answers are all in tournament and either seed it all or seed the top 4 teams in 8 team Sectionals and top 2 in 4 team Sectionals with random draw of which non-seeded team they face. Of course that leads to neutral site regional and semi states debate. I like the idea of neutral site, but it's not a deal breaker that they aren't. Short answer: maybe more discussion on here again!
  3. Takes place in Monroe on Friday. Both teams come in with OOC losses. AC fell to Eastside by 2 in week 2 while SA was beaten by Monroe Central last week. The Jets have looked pretty good since the loss, but 2 of the last 3 wins came from playing rebuilding teams. South Adams has suffered key injuries during the season. I believe AC should win this game, but it's a rivalry. Each team knows the others strengths and weaknesses. I'm excited for a great atmosphere to watch in person. Like many I have family from both sides, but I'm a Jet and that is where my allegiance is this week.
  4. Being a state line guy, I'll take Indiana's all in over Ohio's system every day. There are bottom feeders in the MAC that never make the playoffs that are better than teams that advance deep in the tournament. Last year Parkway won a playoff game with the all in format They were really bad, but better than one opponent. Ohio gets it right by seeding it. Heck Ohio is getting closer to an all in with 16 teams making it in all regions. At this point just create an 8th division and go all in.
  5. Watched the end of the game, so I can't verify much other than the odd replay the down. However any time I've watched the Jets play anywhere near Muncie or Anderson areas, I've never been to impressed with the crews. With low officiating numbers you just have to live with it when you play in basketball country.
  6. All eyes will be on Adams County next week when the Jets host the Starfires for what should be the ACAC crown.
  7. This could be an interesting game with the injuries SA has. Will the Starfires be looking ahead to the next week vs AC? MC played them pretty tough in the regular season last year.
  8. @Bear54 who do you have as the best in the ACAC? South Adams? That would be fair until we see what happens on the 24th. However, SA lost a lot to graduation from last year and they have key injuries currently.
  9. Best of luck to PH the rest of the way. Wish I could've made it down to see it in person especially since my best friend lives a few miles away. Kudos to both PH & my beloved Jets for scheduling the ranked showdown and testing themselves against different styles. A lot teams won't or aren't able to schedule these type of games.
  10. Yes it is. Seems like sports in general are not as popular as they used to be.
  11. Condolences to the Triton community and the family & friends of Cameron. Another one gone way too soon 😪.
  12. Paid $6 per ticket online for the SA vs AC game in September. Think you may be able to get tickets at the gate but not sure (watching webcast instead of attending lately). I had to pay a fee as well for the online when/if sold at gate would be less if those are $6 per as well. Hopefully bought tickets or will have tomorrow for an Ohio game on Friday. They offered pre-sale discounts of $4 for student and $5 for adult. However gate price would be $7 for all. It all works out though when the IN webcasts are free but the Ohio ones charge.
  13. Small school classes have 2A Eastside hosting 1A Adams Central. Eastside won last year in Monroe capitalizing on mistakes. AC did the same back in 2019 in another tight contest between the two teams.
  14. Heck of a kick by Snider to win it at the end. Pretty exciting 4th quarter when I started watching.
  15. Guess it better say DOGS now! Nelson was cracking me up in the follow up interview.
  16. I'll put it this way. I respect the success the following programs have attained but have animosity because it came at the expense at my beloved Flying Jets: Pioneer LCC Sheridan
  17. I know there have been many accounts on here from when I played (viewing the forum) that are no longer posting. A few were hanging around in 2016 during my brother's senior year (while I've been posting) that aren't posting anymore. Very few of us "younger" folks it seems are on here.
  18. I feel like the NE Indiana contingent on this forum has been trending down each year. Seems odd with as much media coverage the area has. Hopefully it grows in the future.
  19. Glad we play them week 3 to help us come playoff time.
  20. Just hope they can stay healthy and can have consistency on the lines. They have some speed. As mentioned above, SA will be better than most think.
  21. Not sure how many have saw the interview with WANE 15 & Mr. Knapke. It has gone viral and is just awesome. That's a great teammate.
  22. Still waiting for the other answer to be scrutinized. As an AC fan, former player, and someone semi involved with the youth of the program, I hope for a deep playoff run. The playoff thorns are stuck in 2A right now. We have to get through a solid sectional and if that happens, probably play either a tough SA or a tough MC team at regionals. The question will be who the new semi state thorn could be if they get there. My fear is that we will move to 2A when we will have some talent coming up. That talent would be great in 1A, but would a really tough road in 2A with Luers, Pioneer, LCC, and Eastbrook to name a few residing their currently. Pioneer and LCC could move back down, but if not then it will be really tough.
  23. Sorry to hear this. Condolences to his family and friends as well as other's he had an impact on.
  24. They key for AC is finding 2 solid DE's. Last year teams ran away from Collier and had some success as no one really filled in for Voirol's absence. Maybe Bluhm moves from OLB to DE? Becher showed glimpses of improvement towards the end of the season. Really excited to see if more Sophomores step up and have some success. The offense should be pretty decent. Hopefully Cook can stay healthy as he can make an impact.
