  1. Well sure ...and success breeds success and thus, some "names" that might have traveled over to MD in years prior have stuck around, or heck, even joined up from Evansville and surrounding areas.
  2. Well- that is back when they (MD) were getting their (GS) best players ....since the Hart-era began, that isn't happening anymore Sorry, couldn't help myself
  3. OK - not sure this is the thread for this discussion - but for the life-of-me, Knox must be unbelievable at what they do and their O-Line must just be man-eaters, for this (offense) to continually work?!? I mean, the Single-Wing is AWESOME (see Brownstown), but this isn't even really a ball deception/spinner deal. Now, granted, I've only seen highlights - but for the life of me, can northern defenses NOT figure out how to stop/slow down this direct-snap power run game?? Like seriously ...what am I missing?? I'll eat my words come Lucas Oil time if they make it and put it on Gibson Southern, but I just can't see that happening.
  4. We all know the elephant in the room. The Pats aren't a one-trick pony - BUT - if that one pony is hobbled up - it is a complete game-changer and gives the Wildcats a good chance.
  5. Would be interested in Bobref's take on this scenario
  6. Oh wow....that's a tough one. Would hate to be the White Hat in that scenario - but I think he got that one wrong.
  7. I was wondering the same thing - if the QB is hit while in the process of trying to get a throw off - seems to me IG would be a tough call to make. Now, being "in the grasps" and just randomly throwing it to avoid a sack is completely different and actually at the heart of the rule. So - which scenario was it??
  8. Ha…oh you know better than that 32. Don’t really want to get into the prediction business- cause this is high school football and these are teenagers after all…BUT- having been the only team that has played both MD and GS (and got our tails kicked by both)- I believe GS is the overall better team. MD’s front and physicality was impressive- but that is also where GS’s strength lies Also- if you’re not familiar with GS’s tempo- it will eventually break you. It’s such a huge advantage… Id say Titans by 17 or more
  9. Well- he most certainly didn’t suck lol
  10. #3 back at QB certainly was a game-changer for our game last night. Credit to MD as they played that one very close to the vest..
  11. Well....that's encouraging ...
  12. Gosh- Alexandria must be gutted- what an awful way to lose a ballgame. And armchair QB’ing is for losers…but the first thing I noticed on the fateful lateral play was “5 down defensive lineman??” I know Eastbrook has a vaunted run game…but they had to go 80 yards in 7 seconds.
  13. Cliff notes version for us too poor?
  14. Throwing dirt on a man's grave seems to be a low blow - RIP ol Coach Touche ...will be an interesting sectional
  15. Unless we’re talking late 80’s early 90’s when they got popped by the IHSAA for recruiting violations … Hey- don’t shoot the messenger
  16. Well that’s a bit harsh! I thought we were ganging up on the P/P’s…(although the 42-0 debacle WAS played in a mud bowl- in which longer cleats would definitely help hehehe)
  17. And had to change cleats before the game….#iykyk
  18. Really??? Limiting enrollment means less tax dollars- which is like cuss word to an Administrator (well- usually anyway). I’d bee interested to know what measures were taken to do so…
  19. On that same note - it has been interesting to note the fluctuation of B-Town's enrollment - having once been pretty steady in 3A. Did a business or 2 shut down? Also impressive that they've (Brownstown) have been able to hold off soccer for so long...
  20. Sure would....just like they were last year.
  21. It happens....geography is what it is (I guess) - but the discrepancy (I don't know if that's the right word) or "balance" of some sectionals compared to others....whew. In wrestling, I have real-life examples and emails used by IHSAA brass moving teams from one sectional to another for the reason of "competitive balance" ....but apparently that doesn't apply in the football world. Or...the right/wrong people are on the right/wrong committees .... Anyway, I digress
  22. Year older....senior laden, motivated. Pretty strong recipe
  23. Similarities - motions, ball deception, pullers, etc...but not exactly the same. In fact, I'm not sure there is another offense in Indiana that does what B-town does...which probably speaks to how dumb we all are and how brilliant Coach May is....the last offense I can remember running primarily the spinner series is Batesville back in the early 2000s??
