This is a game between a highly ranked 2A school and the #1 (or #2, depending on which poll you believe in) team in 3A. It has traditionally been a very competitive game. Hadn't thought of the WM's! Looking forward to chatting before or after the game for a few minutes. WL does seem to be very efficient this year.

And don't forget... Rensselaer ALWAYS plays WL tough! Which is why I can't figure out why this game is worth only one point in the HC pick 'em.

I think you need to jump on to ISC and watch a replay of the WL-Jeff game. 6A against 3A. 1st game of the season. Two ranked teams in their class. Athletes all over the field. Despite the score, great defense played by both teams. Eight point differential for the final score. How is this a bad loss?

I have always been puzzled by the fact that Roseville doesn’t have a football team. My understanding is that they have good sign-ups for their elementary school development league. If so, the interest sounds like it is there.

To be honest, it was good to see the players who were on the field Friday night. From what I have seen in games across the state, the QB playing defense is most prevalent at the 1A and 2A levels because of numbers. It occurs occasionally at the 3A level on a situational basis. I have not seen any QB's play defense at the 4A or 5A level. At those levels, why would you put one of your most valuable and important players at risk?
