Lol, that can't be correct. Penn hung tough with Cathedra before losing by 14. They waxed a very good New Prairie team by 3 touchdowns. Only be Elkhart by 1, but they still beat Elkhart, which happens to be a pretty good team. If Carroll beats Penn by 21 at Freed field, that will be one hell of a message they send to the rest of 6A. Penn plays good at home. I have the Kingsmen by 7.

The award needs to go to a lineman for a change. One could argue that the quarterback position is the most important position on the field, but there are 21 other positions that play a significant roll. Skill players don't get the job done without the beasts up front protecting them.

Similar to Snider's loss to Dwenger last year. That loss guarantees that Snider will be in 5A for the next three years if I'm not mistaken. Easier road for the Panthers for sure, but gotta love the competition that 6A provides.

I think Luers thought the 2A path to Lucas would be easy after disposing of Carroll, Homestead, and Dwenger. Whereas I still maintain that last year was an upset (both teams were Top 3 though), this year would not be considered so. The Knights can beat Eastside, but the Blazers in my opinion are the favorite.

That style seems to be effective against Luers.

Do football programs really look at things this way? If the better competition is in 4a, then I imagine that's exactly where Roncalli would want to be. If you want to be the best, you've got to beat the best.

If that happens, Norwell will be in good company. Snider (42) and Carroll (51) are the only two teams to mercy rule Concordia this year. The Cadets kept North Side (27), Dwenger (29), Luers (27), and Homestead (24) from doing so.
