  1. I will say. This game was a heck of a performance by Northwood. First time I have seen them play all year and they were very impressive.
  2. Textbook EC 2nd half drive. 35 seconds and a 5-7 yard run. Rinse. Repeat. Even including an 8 yard QB sneak. But if any team has the athletes to come back it could be NW.
  3. 3 touchdowns in the last 2 minutes. and here we go…
  4. Excited to see if Ringer secures Mr Football with his performance today.
  5. Unfortunately without seeding, the second best team is not always the loser in Lucas Oil. South seemed stronger in 1A and 4A. 2A and 5A it was the north. However it’s all just opinion.
  6. This weekend will not be a clinic tape on knee pad enforcement. I don’t think the FW BL kicker is even wearing any.
  7. Evansville newspaper made a big deal about Coach Schenk and NP running 28 (I forget the exact number) different offensive formations. That seems to be the Vikings best success. The more bizarre the better. Traditional formations and throwing the ball don’t seem to be working against the Luers D.
  8. 7-0 Luers. Early 2nd North Posey in the red zone 3rd and Long
  9. Luers win the title for ugliest uniforms for the weekend. North Posey may need the officiating crew to let them play defense with 12 again.
  10. On that short punt I heard Chatard yelling "Peter, Peter, Peter!" I didn't know St. Peter was the patron saint of shanked kicks.
  11. I thought the 3A white hat looked familiar. He officiated the Brebeuf - Ev Memorial 3A final in 2017. Six years to the day. Congrats to him and his crew.
  12. AC has their WR’s 4 yards off the line of scrimmage when they go spread. So I’m guessing the answer is no.
  13. Would it be possible to mute Jan Boser’s microphone? Asking for a friend. Please. Stop. Screaming.
  14. AC playing match quarters defensive coverage. Which is a great defense… if you have the Jimmies to match the Joes.
  15. Great opening drive for AC. Can’t ask for better than that
  16. I see that Heritage Hills practiced at Lucas Oil yesterday. Five hour trip for an hour under the roof. Then hopping back on a bus less than 48 hours later for a game. Indy area schools have such an advantage in that regard.
  17. South- because that is where Roncalli and Brebeuf are located. Plus 4A is skewed heavily north. Marion and Muncie Central have spent time in the ‘South’ sectionals over the last few cycles. I think Western (near Kokomo) might have also been south but I can’t remember.
  18. Thanks for finding that. Although that article focused a lot on the ‘fixed class’ set up for basketball, I can see why I missed it. I heard a lot about that proposal and subsequent vote-down and very little about the SF point change.
  19. My guess is Sectional 24 will stay at the 7 remaining teams. Pike Central, Southridge, and West Vigo were all close to the bottom of 3A. Within 10 or so students of dropping to 2A. So that could change things as well. I always felt like both SR/HH were a package deal for sectional alignments, so just HH might get pulled back to SW IN. But a safe assumption would be West Vigo moves up to 28 to replace Chatard should everyone else stay put.
  20. East Central rushed for 397 yards last year vs. New Prairie. This year's team is better and more versatile, with Brotherton moving to slot, WR, and splitback to allow Maxwell to get carries. Also they have added Minges as another threat in the backfield. It's not just the RB's but its also their use of unbalanced and 8-9 man OL formations that make them so tough to matchup with. Coach Meiners has a lot of talent and he does a great job of using them in creative ways. And their defense is very solid as well. I'm curious to see how NorthWood matches up with them. Oh. That makes sense.
  21. Have you looked at the four-loss Moeller team's schedule? (Whose RB has committed to Michigan, btw.) Loss to EC 38-28. Lost to Center Grove, your #3 team 35-34 in OT. Lost to Ben Davis 49-28. I would put East Central as #2 behind Ben Davis just based on that alone. Moeller also beat Dwenger 57-0 for comparison as well. The Trojans are pretty darn good.
  22. East Central - Over 41 Northwood - Under 14
  23. Yikes. Lighten up, Francis. No one mentioned Memorial until you did. Zack Martin was a junior in 2007 and senior in 2008. His younger brother, Nick was a junior in 2009 and senior in 2010. So to answer the ‘Martin’ years question, the answer is yes. Assuming you meant the older brother.
