Dude absolutely torched us. Looked like Bo in Tecmo Bowl. Correct, he was a class ahead.

Ahh, so big difference to the NFL there. What does NCAA say?

Temp’s Top 25 (10/15)

Finally, if you're going to fake an account, maybe talk about the team you purportedly support other than when, you know, they play Merrillville. Or when you're conveniently at a Merrillville game IN Chesterton when your team "4 life" was playing at home 30 min down the road. You'd make a crappy double agent. -

Check that. TWO stat guys need to lose jobs, apparently. Chesterton's MaxPreps stats show the same 2-turnover game everyone else but you watched. Or at least choose to acknowledge. -

Cody, are you trying to tell us that Merrillville's own reported Digital Scout stats are wildly inaccurate? Someone needs to lose a stat job before the sectional starts. -

They get two attempts the same way Merrillville had six turnovers Friday when they literally had one lost fumble and one INT according to Merrillville's own reported stats. -

I take that one of two ways: 1. This is a program that doesn't know what they are doing, or 2. You don't know what you're talking about. Considering this seems to be, overall, an otherwise solid program, I'll take "You don't know what you're talking about" for $500, Alex. -

6-3 Boonvegas? Really? If you look at the only teams they've beaten (Paoli, HH, NK, MV, Pton, Wton) your question answers itself. -
Don't be fooled, if you paid close attention you'd notice that GS intentionally spotted Boonville 14 before the Titans actually began playing in earnest in an effort to equalize the contest. Honestly, how in the world could a team score 2 TDs on straight possessions without seeing 2nd down if it wasn't part of a well orchestrated Titan game plan? Even so, GS still covered the spread. I kid, I kid. Looking forward to an exciting game vs the Alices! Fans better arrive early at the Jewell if they want a good seat!!

That number sounds low. You just talking offense, or is that only the defensive side?

Gibson Southern (8-0) at Boonville (6-2)

This game was, uh, interesting to watch. BV scored 14 points and had a kajillion and seven rushing yard average in, like, 3.9 nanoseconds. And and then... basically nothing. Spurts here and there. Admittedly, my butt was starting to get puckered tighter than a snare drum after that second one. But the boys appeared more or less unphased. They came out the next drive, buckled down, and TCOB from 3.9 nanoseconds on. Whatever game plan BV had on those first two plays 👏 👏 👏 Not sure what they had planned from third down on, but a top notch start. -

What if the sectionals were seeded?
Esso Ayche replied to crimsonace1's topic in The Indiana High School Football Forum
This is great, thanks for taking the time to put this together in a thoughtful, well reasoned way. Worst case, perhaps, is maybe a small, small number of teams that are one-off for whatever intangible reason. Perfection is not a realistic outcome in a complex seeding scenario, but something like this is darn close. Overall, this could certainly be sorted out with about 8 or so smart people putting their heads together over a few short hours the Saturday afternoon after week 9. Remotely. With computers. Over the interwebs. However, the obvious fallacy to this entire exercise is that it clearly can work. And THAT, sir, will NOT do for the IHSAA. Just keep your ping-pong balls polished and make do like it's still 1985 and put the top four best teams on one side of the bracket and the bottom four worst teams on the other side like God Himself intended. Now, pardon me while I go reserve my seat for the thriller of a Sectional 30 final that would be a running clock in the first half if it were allowed. It doesn't matter which two teams meet, the result will be the same. But hey, at least 2-7 Washington will be able to hang that 2022-23 Sectional Finalist banner in the gym this winter (no offense Hatchets, but y'all gotta admit S30 is a f'g travesty). Seriously though, this is great. Thanks again for compiling this! -
@Titan32 and @Titan76 in the PAC 2022 thread this week (and perhaps others, if you look hard enough...) 😂

Ah, that makes sense in the sectional. And would if the numbers flipped at the regionals, but in this case they still show less chance in regionals and they don't flip until ss. How does that work? I know, mostly meaningless numbers (to a point), just curious about interpreting their meaningless... ness.
-
These numbers just seem... off. Aside from some clear bias that I may or may not have (hint: I have), but how does GS ( or any team, for that matter) have a better chance than OV of winning state, but less chance to get out of the same sectional? Maff hurts my brain.

I'm here to please.

I donated again for the lack of donation from @Impartial_Observer Not in the sense of providing him the benefits of being a current booster (ie no ads and a badass new "Booster 2022-23" by his name), but to make up to the GID for the weak justification for NOT donating the past few years. Find a better soapbox, dude.

Hadn't ever thought of that. That's wild.
