Sheridan replaced Western Boone and North Miami, with South Adams and Alexandria. Not necessarily saying this is a huge upgrade, but certainly the South Adams game makes more sense than the annual "Nobody Cares" matchup between Sheridan and WeBo.

He was probably the best case scenario. Was Associate Head Coach last year, and already has a relationship with the kids.

Well, it wasn't easy. The boys shot incredibly poor from the field, but they did still get the win.

Why would Frankfort even schedule Westfield? Wow. Sheridan plays the Hot Dogs tomorrow night, but I'm always weary. Frankfort always tends to play the Hawks tough.

It begs the question of how their enrollment numbers for classification were off by so much.

Do you think a 1A school can just fabricate a full-time position so that an unknown(to the community) coach can have a job? This would also be hard to justify, given how upset the community remains about this issue. Bud Wright was a nationally known name. I honestly can't imagine the pressure that the next person is going to feel coming into this job.

Why wouldn't they want this for training purposes? Is it the officials or the IHSAA who don't want it? The biggest issue with body cams or GoPros being that they don't follow your eyes, so it's possible that most of the footage doesn't result in anything helpful anyway.

This is one reason I was hoping that Kevin Wright would stick around for a season or two. A coach like Kevin could take the heat and cushion the blow to the "next" guy. Unfortunately for Sheridan, he is at Carmel now, and honestly, after seeing how this has all unfolded, I don't blame him. The Wright family has been a staple in the Sheridan community, but it wouldn't shock me to see all of them fade away after all of this. This is a job that I think no one wants after this. It would be hard to fill after Coach Wright left anyway, but now.....I just don't know who we're going to get to take this job. I wouldn't be shocked to see the AD try to find someone from outside of Indiana, tbh.

Judson lost at state, all they have to do is appear at state again in 2025, and they will move up.

You could appear in the Semi-State every single year of your existence, and you'd remain in your class. Semi-State runs don't earn enough points to move up.

That was my freshman year. The whole school wanted to completely embarrass Westfield for dropping us from their schedule. LOL

That won't do them any favors. The community is mad at the school for this, and now the School Board will likely take just as much blame. The community is sad, mad, livid, every emotion in the world. He deserved better than this.

The community is livid right now. The school has essentially been quite throughout this whole ordeal going back to the suspension. The community wants answers, and quite frankly, the school is ignoring everyone.

OF COURSE IT IS!!! People don't get into television to lose money. You are asking television owners to do just that. Again, it costs a lot of money for these games to be broadcast on a TV broadcast "level". Are you proposing that those people work for free?

My point is that to ask a television station to have civic pride when broadcasting costs hundreds of thousands, if not millions of dollars is an unrealistic ask. Meanwhile, I can stream games to the whole world for a few hundred dollars, maybe. My streams are free for the reason you cite: civic pride. However, I don't have towers to pay for, crews to pay full-time salaries to, benefits, etc. Believe me, I wish a station would carry the State Final games for free to view, but it's just not the world we live in anymore.

Again, none of this happens for free. As it is, streaming is the best way to get it to the entire state. I don't believe any network in Indiana actually covers the ENTIRE state. If so, they'd have to be something like FOX59 or WTHR. To ask them to broadcast the high school semi-state and state finals would mean having them ignore their network commitments, as FOX and NBC affiliates. That's just not a realistic ask.

I agree with this. I get what they are trying to accomplish, because it is a "luck of the draw" thing, but so many schools seem to disregard it. This past week, how one announcer got around the rule, was he would just yell out the door/window of the booth, and the crowd would react. It's the same thing, just not over the PA system.

I'm actually not sure about this. I believe everything has to be adjusted, because I believe the bottom team in 2A then moves down? I could be wrong though.

Judson goes up if they win it all this year. Gonna open 1A even further in 2025 if that happens.

The most shocking part about last night was that the QB didn't even need to be there. Sheridan was allowing Benton to do literally whatever he wanted.

THANK YOU!! Nothing against Adams Central, but I've seen this mentioned A LOT this year by people. Many aren't aware that they moved up due to enrollment.
