  1. If that's true, we will be playing on the frozen tundra.
  2. Decatur Central vs. Cathedral should be an interesting game. Hopefully the Irish will not be looking ahead and will just try to take care of business. That won't be easy against a talented DC team.
  3. The weather Friday night was very acceptable, especially if you dressed appropriately. I don't know how attendance was at other games but the crowd, especially the home Cathedral crowd, was very sparse at Tech. Maybe there was a Halloween hangover, but whatever the excuses, try to get out and back the young men representing your school or your family this week.
  4. The Irish bumbled the game from the time of that fumble until the last 3 minutes. Ian Book was a mess until the last drive. It was not a top notch performance by any means.
  5. Irish 21, Hokies 20. That was a gift from God! The Irish are now Bowl eligible.
  6. Irish are playing poorly, that's an understatement, again today. They are scuffling with a Virginia Tech team that's more "average" than Michigan. I believe it's time for Brian to go and Ian Book needs to hit the pines. His regression since early last season is troubling. Who would have believed that IU would be Bowl eligible before Notre Dame
  7. That's why I enjoy the all in. On any given Friday during the playoffs, the best team doesn't always win.
  8. Decatur Central 49, Terre Haute North 0 Cathedral 38, Terre Haute South 14 So it's Decatur Central vs. Cathedral next Friday night. I was told it would be a "home game" for Cathedral. If so it should be back at Tech.
  9. Tailgate is on as usual! I hope to see a lot of Irish fans feedin' their faces.
  10. This is what playoff weather usually looks like. Just dress warm and support your team.
  11. It's playoff time! This is the beginning of the real season, imo. I hope to see a lot of Irish fans at Tech tonight. Dress warm and be there for this team!
  12. That's really a shame! It sounds like the same scenario as Cathedral's Markese Stepp. Those hamstrings just seem to take awhile to heal for some.. Hopefully he'll be back for an injury free senior year.
  13. I sounded like Lou Holtz with that remark.😄
  14. This seems like a long time between games! I'm looking forward to sitting out in the cold Friday night.☺️
  15. I agree! It's fun to travel and see new venues. No distance is too far to travel to watch my school play.
  16. I feel bad for Roman. He seems like a nice young man, but his dad is a handful, or more. Roman's talents were greatly overblown when he moved to this area from New Jersey.
  17. It is what it is! You either deal with it or turn in your pads for the season. Good coaches, and programs, just learn to deal with whatever schedule comes their way.
  18. It's playoff weather!😊
  19. I meant to say they had more team speed than Plainfield.😊
  20. Welcome back!😊
  21. They pretty much ran a spread. Plainfield really didn't give too much effort to stopping them, or so it seemed. The Quakers have excellent team speed and that's always a big plus at the high school level. Well as an Irish fanboy, I hope you're correct.
  22. It's the only time I've seen Plainfield this season, but they seemed to have trouble tackling. Decatur Central is a legitimate threat in this sectional.
  23. It was ugly! I really didn't see this Irish team as a potential playoff team but I never expected them to be blown out the way they were last night! Maybe it's time for BK to move on. He just doesn't seem to be able to get them to play at their best week in and week out. Also, Book is a below average QB. Last night he was abysmal.
  24. The only thing on Cathedral's mind right now is Terre Haute South. Gotta win that one to get to Decatur Central.
