  1. LIKE and AMEN! Well, Cathedral High School must have made a mistake with me then, back in the day!
  2. Didn't IU once have a basketball coach who was quite arrogant?🤔
  3. Always intense!
  4. Thanks for proving my point, temp!😝
  5. That's weak, just very weak! LKE!
  6. It's kind of a badge of honor to receive so much hate. Three pages, or so, of ND love and hate ain't all bad.😉
  7. LIKE!
  8. The annual "we got to do something about the P/P's winning too much" is always a treat. Wringing hand and furrowed brows and then no real solutions. Some schools just don't want to compete, but just complain. Hard work pays off. The "success factor" was designed to "even the playing field" but it just doesn't seem to be enough for some. It's a never ending subject, that's for sure.
  9. I award BB the Bud Wright award for longevity!😊
  10. That's your opinion. Notre Dame is independent because they wish to be independent. There may come a time when they need to join a conference, but that time hasn't come yet. In fact, the Irish do have some conference ties, basketball in the ACC and hockey in the Big 18.
  11. Notre Dame schedules far into the future. They have no control over what teams like Florida State, USC, Stanford etc, are going to have 5 or 10 years into the future. Normally these teams would be formidable, which wasn't the case this year. You don't get to pick and choose who you play from year to year. That's one of the problems of being an independent.
  12. Coach Freeman is now a South Bend guy!😉 And Kelly is just a Kelly guy.
  13. Hopefully he'll throw a couple of those to Xavier Watts and the other outstanding Irish pass defenders.
  14. Nah, nil, notta! I don't believe tOSU has any use for Brian Kelly. And why should Marcus Freeman leave South Bend?
  15. I thought I'd have two Indiana teams to root for, and then they get paired. I'm not a prognosticator, but the Irish are 7.5 point favorites at this point and that may be in the ballpark. IU experienced the Horseshoe, but they've not experienced Notre Dame Stadium. I'm hoping it's full of Irish fans and it's as loud as it was back in the day. GO IRISH!!!!!
  16. Coach Odom's introductory newser:
  17. I was a Butler fan way back in the 1960's It was easy to get a ticket and see some top notch teams come to the Butler Fieldhouse. Remember Jeff Blue and Gerry Williams? I saw Michigan, DePaul and Ohio State and more play the 'Dogs. Then they get a bit better and go to a couple of final fours, and now they charge $10 just to park in the Fieldhouse lot for high school football. It seems they've gotten the big head.😝
  18. The Hobart Brickies were tough in the past also. I remember one Saturday afternoon in the late 60's or early 70's when they beat Cathedral 51-0 (IIRC) at the Butler Bowl.
  19. Another one of those "roughing the passer" penalties in the Cleveland/Pittsburgh game. Some of those QB's sure are blest!
  20. UNLV finished in the final CFB top 25rankings. This might be a good hire. We shall see.
  21. December 20th, 8PM, should be a huge advantage to the home team! Lots of time to game plan and get healthy! Of course that works for both teams. It looked like IU was the better team early on in the season, but the Irish got a lot better as the year went on. It won't be easy, but the Irish should overcome.
  22. IU at Notre Dame. It seems a shame that one of the state's CFP teams will be out after the first round. Alabama out, SMU in. One three loss team, Clemson, was enough I guess. No one seems unbeatable.
  23. And they ain't!
