  1. Another Colt loss, this time without an offensive TD.

    Like!
  3. Riley Leonard has to stay consistent, that means he has to do what he does best, and that's the short pass, with an occasional long one to keep the defense honest, and continue to run the ball when it's open. The Irish defense seems to be getting stronger, especially in the back end. Xavier Watts has had another outstanding season so far and he needs to keep it going. Lots of crazy things happening in this CFB season.

Or so you would think! They deserve a top 10 spot at this junction of the season. Pretty consistent season so far.
  5. This should be an exciting match up! LN has the speed and the Irish are getting healthy. It should be a good one!
  6. In my almost 70 years of watching high school football in Indiana, I cannot remember ever seeing a penalty called after a game had "ended."

It was good to see if the Hoosiers could come back from an early deficit, and they did! Quite handily!
  8. Cathedral 36, North Central 0.
  9. Lawrence North 40, Lawrene Central 9 Cathedral 36, North Central o The sectional final will be played at Lawrence North
  10. It was clear that someone from the Brebeuf sideline did point to the Danville sideline to an official before they gathered to make their decision. It's clear in the replay that was the case. I have deleted my Channel 23 recording so I can't post that. Anyway, it wasn't going to be changed, but they got some clarity, and I hope it helped and they will be able to get over it. It is bad for the seniors that it ended that way but life isn't always fair.
  11. Don't forget that this game will be played at North Central!
  12. BTW, Cathedral will be playing at North Central Friday night. John Harrell has the game listed as being played at Arlington, which is no longer an Irish home field.
  13. My ticket is bought and I can't wait to be out in the November weather, whatever it may be. I just hope it's dry as is predicted.
  14. He sure didn't handle the ball like the 'Fridge!

I believe Tayven Jackson managed the game OK, as the Hoosiers won.
  16. The interception at the end of the half was the deciding points, imo. A poor decision on Richardson's part. He needs to be aware of the circumstances and not make that kind of throw at that juncture of the game. Just let the clock run out! And for those who think Richardson didn't have a large part in losing this game, should ask his teammates, in private, about their thoughts on the matter.
  17. That's how private schools keep their doors open.
  18. I can! The officials had a bad night throughout the game. I saw the same thing. I guess the White Hat had no experience in that role. Seems a tough spot to get that first game experience. It was a tough game for both teams, imo.
  19. Lots of teams in the top 10 are not unbeatable. Some have proven that already.
  20. Yeah, I'm not sure he's seeing the game back there. He just doesn't seem the least bit comfortable, and I guess he's going to carry on as long as he's healthy. Not much to look forward too, although others played well, and a 3 point loss to the division leader on the road isn't that bad. If there had just been a bit of better QB play the Colts could have won.
  21. Tough way to lose a game, although I was rooting for the Commanders because Cathedral alum Terry McLaurin plays there. It ain't over 'til it's over, as Yogi once said!
  22. Yeah, I thought it was to be another grinder, as usual. The Irish seem to be getting it together. It's a shame they lost to NIU. Now NIU is 4-4 and lost to Ball State yesterday. I can't wait to get back in the stands Friday night!
  23. I can't wait to get out into the cold November weather, Friday night! It was no fun being at home this past Friday.
  24. That's an old way of putting it, blame it on the team and the kids. I've heard that excuse since I was a young'un and I'm ove 80 years old now.
