  1. He sure didn't handle the ball like the 'Fridge!

I believe Tayven Jackson managed the game OK, as the Hoosiers won.
  3. The interception at the end of the half was the deciding points, imo. A poor decision on Richardson's part. He needs to be aware of the circumstances and not make that kind of throw at that juncture of the game. Just let the clock run out! And for those who think Richardson didn't have a large part in losing this game, should ask his teammates, in private, about their thoughts on the matter.
  4. That's how private schools keep their doors open.
  5. I can! The officials had a bad night throughout the game. I saw the same thing. I guess the White Hat had no experience in that role. Seems a tough spot to get that first game experience. It was a tough game for both teams, imo.
  6. Lots of teams in the top 10 are not unbeatable. Some have proven that already.
  7. Yeah, I'm not sure he's seeing the game back there. He just doesn't seem the least bit comfortable, and I guess he's going to carry on as long as he's healthy. Not much to look forward too, although others played well, and a 3 point loss to the division leader on the road isn't that bad. If there had just been a bit of better QB play the Colts could have won.
  8. Tough way to lose a game, although I was rooting for the Commanders because Cathedral alum Terry McLaurin plays there. It ain't over 'til it's over, as Yogi once said!
  9. Yeah, I thought it was to be another grinder, as usual. The Irish seem to be getting it together. It's a shame they lost to NIU. Now NIU is 4-4 and lost to Ball State yesterday. I can't wait to get back in the stands Friday night!
  10. I can't wait to get out into the cold November weather, Friday night! It was no fun being at home this past Friday.
  11. That's an old way of putting it, blame it on the team and the kids. I've heard that excuse since I was a young'un and I'm ove 80 years old now.
  12. But Northern Illinois lost to Ball State. That isn't going to help the Irish resume any.

Michigan State is playing at Michigan as we type. This is a big rivalry game for both. It will be interesting to see if MSU has anything left after tonight. Indiana being unbeaten and highly ranked may be enough incentive for the Spartans. We shall see.
  14. Ohio State 21, Nebraska 17. That should put a smile on Hoosier faces! And the game was in the Horseshoe. They are not unbeatable!

tOSU is scuffling with Nebraska! It's tOSU 21-Huskers 17 with about three minutes left. And the game is being played in the Horseshoe.
  16. The Irish have totally exposed Navy today. The Midshipmen turned the ball over 6 times, it would have been 7 without the "roughing" call. It has been the best game the Irish have played so far, on both sides of the ball. The score with 2 to go is 51-14. That's the final.

Another one bites the Hoosier dust!😉
  18. Another instance of a QB being tackled, and it's flagged as "roughing!" I believe in protecting the QB, but the "roughing" penalties are getting out of hand, at all levels!
  19. I disagree. They held many conferences "to get the play right" all through the game. The game was OVER for the players on the sideline. And yes I read your response above. Even if this were a regular season game, it was a shame!
  20. By the book it was correct, but no game should have an ending like that for that kind of infraction. We forget sometimes that these young men are just that, young, and they get excited, especially when it looks like they've won the game and are moving on in the sectional. If you can't flag it when it happens, then you shouldn't flag it a full 5 minutes after the last play. Some digression is appropriate, imho.

    IU 2024

On a beautiful October Saturday morning, ESPN's Game Day is in Bloomington to highlight the Hoosiers rise. I never thought I'd see those folks at IU's Memorial Stadium, The Rock.
  22. It wasn't the only questionable call of the night. The game lasting 3 1/2 hours says a lot about the quality of the officiating. It's been many years since I've seen a team win on a fifth down.
