  1. "Only" 287 yards rushing for the Irish today. It just seemed like 400. 576 total yards offensively.
  2. Nice win for the Irish, 45-32. The game was all Irish after the first quarter. The Irish may have had 400 yards rushing today. They didn't throw the ball the entire 4th quarter and moved the ball quite well. The game wasn't near as close as the score indicates. Estime fumbled going in for a touchdown and NC threw a 4th down pass for the final score.
  3. This is old time Notre Dame football. line up and run the ball down their throats. Almost like the reincarnation of the Bus!
  4. I didn't know you couldn't hit a ball carrier, in the chest with your shoulder. That targeting call looked just a hard tackle. Maybe Bertrand has a hex on him.
  5. This is old time Notre Dame football. Line up and run it down their throats.
  6. Tony Rice was the QB the last time Notre Dame won the Natty. He was an excellent QB all around, just not a good passer. If thing progress today, and I sure hope it does, Swarbrick, Rees and Freeman may keep their jobs another week. Should have given the ball to the big guy there!
  7. So far so good! Irish up 38-14 mid 3rd quarter. It ain't over yet though.
  8. Cathedral Freshmen 21, Roncalli Freshmen 7 Roncalli JV 27, Cathedral JV 7
  9. Cathedral 56, Hammond Morton 0 Also the Cathedral Freshman team beat Southport 44-0 earlier in the week. They, and the JV, play Roncalli in the morning.
  10. Irish up 56-0 at halftime.
  11. Irish are up 21-0 still in the 1st quarter. I found the game on 1260AM radio/I-Heart. No free live stream.
  12. Stats are misleading sometimes, and this is a perfect case. You need to see Jaron Tibbs play to appreciate his talent. He's the best WR I've ever seen at Cathedral High School, and I saw my first Irish game in 1955. I guess there's no live stream or live radio broadcast tonight. I'll just follow along on Max Preps, it looks like. I hate missing any Irish game.
  13. That's why I'm staying home. I haven't missed a game, by my own choosing, since 2017, but too many miles for this one. I also hope to get a live stream or at least a radio feed from this "game." I'll be back for the last three games. BTW, for those who care, I had my annual cardiologist appointment Tuesday, and my heart is still pumping blood as it should. I had congestive heart failure in 2000 and I have had a great cardiologist since, Dr. Dennis Dickos at St. Vincent.
  14. I won't be doing anymore trolling matches here.
  15. That was not the issue last year. Coach Peebs is trying to help the coach at Morton get his team off the ground. The series is set for 4 years. I would attend this game if it was a bit closer, but I'm not driving that distance for this one. Maybe in a couple years when, and if, Morton gets their program back in gear. And it's never good to have a week off and not continue your game routine. The only plus is that some of the Irish injured have time to heal.
  16. Satisfied will work for now.
  17. If that's what you want to believe.
  18. You mean there was a coach and football, at Sheridan before Bud?😉
  19. IMO, the Big 14 just isn't that deep this season. Maybe only three or four deep. Hard to tell yet because it's early.
  20. The start of this game looks like a continuation of last season's finale.
  21. Right now, I'd be satisfied with that.
  22. I can't believe NBC can't find a couple of minutes to show the Alma Mater!😡 It wasn't a masterpiece, by any means. But it's a win! They just gotta get better!
  23. Now it's over, I think.
  24. Not over yet. Another review.
