  1. I agree with all, Friday night is high school football night! The Pros and Colleges are now playing almost every night of the week, or so it seems, and they should leave Friday nights for the high schoolers!
  2. I have no more likes left, so I'll just respond my liking. I like Tom Allen! I ran into him at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway Garage Area in May and he was super cordial. I'm glad to see his team get a win. Listened to the game on the way home from Penn Friday night with an IU alum driving, and we were both happy. I hope they get to a Bowl Game this season.
  3. Brian Kelly looks like he's aged 10 years. He's got a team full of undisciplined players, and he's not used to that. The look on his face looked like he was thinking, "what in the world have I done?" I wish him nothing at LSU. I hope he enjoys the paychecks. The Irish offense just ran out of talent at the end. It wasn't lack of effort, it was just tOSU had a bit more talent. Good days ahead for the Irish! At least they look like a football team coming on the field again!
  4. It was a good trip up north. The game was well worth the effort. It took the Irish a bit to get going, but when they did it was good for this old Irish fan! I thought the offensive line showed improvement in the 2nd half, giving Danny O'Neil more time to find his receivers, and even open up some running lanes for O'Neil and the Irish running backs. Also, the Irish defense stepped up. late in the first half and through the 2nd half. Baby steps, but progress by both. If there's a better wide receiver in the state of Indiana than Jaron Tibbs, I haven't seen him yet. He's an amazing talent. I do hope that some of the injured players get back soon, although it was good to see young players step up and play well. I really enjoyed the Penn facility as this was my first game up there. It was good to have adequate seating for the visiting team. Overall, a first class operation! After returning home at about 1AM, I am sure there will be a nap this afternoon.
  5. It's scheduled for a 7:30 start. The hard part of the trip will be trying to get out of Marion County in the late afternoon.
  6. I agree with you. I watched the St. X/LA game and LA was looked very good. I wish Cathedral and St. X still played also. I don't know what happened with that as they played most years for 20 years or so. Also I may have missed it, but I didn't see Brownsburg on the list. Maybe just an oversight?
  7. I hope you're right about the kicking game. Ben Gomez spoiled the Irish faithful last year with his talents. It's an important part of any team, and its importance is sometimes overlooked by fans.
  8. I hope the Irish have all, or most, of their players back from last week. I sure hope Danny O'Neil especially is OK this week. I'm looking forward to visiting Penn for the first time. I didn't make the trip 2 years ago but we're on our way this year.
  9. Cathedral JV lost to Brownsburg 52-37 Cathedral Freshman won 14-0 over Brownsburg.
  10. I have not indicated that the officials cost the Irish the game. Brownsburg outplayed the Irish and deserved to win. As for the officiating, I'm not whining, I'm stating the truth. Sometimes it's necessary. The Irish defensive effort wasn't up to Cathedral standards at all last night. I'm sure the players and the coaches would agree with that.
  11. It's a good place to learn stuff too.🤪
  12. No likes left, but I like this post.
  13. When you play poorly, it's almost certain you will lose. So it was tonight for the Irish. Tackling was not as good as it should have been, and the better team won. Hats off to the Bulldogs and I sure hope the Irish get better before the playoffs, or sooner. I just hope Danny O'Neil is OK. He went down late in the game. Also, the officiating crew was subpar. Lots of missed calls tonight. And please, no whining about this observation.
  14. I hope to see a lot of Irish fans at Brownsburg tonight. It should be fun!
  15. I'll be at #36 tonight.
  16. Thanks. I also have found out that the game will be broadcast on 1260AM radio. My ticket is in my pocket.
  17. Will this game be shown on TV or just streamed online? Seems like there would be some interest to watch it. I'm thankful that I live only 7 miles from Brownsburg. No excuse for me to miss this one.
  18. This should be a good one!
  19. Cathedral Freshmen 41, Lafayette Jeff Freshman 0 Cathedral JV 46, Lafayette JV 0
  20. The Cathedral Irish won 43-12. The mercy rule was never invoked and the Irish played a lot of players. Jeff pretty much controlled time of possession in the 2nd and 3rd quarters. The Irish got out to a 22-0 lead after the 1st quarter.
  21. It's about time to head north to Lafayette. Hope to see a lot of Irish fans up there tonight.
