  1. Up to 9 pages now! Keep up the good work!🀣
  2. Congratulation, Coach Gaddis! A job well done!☺️
  3. The home side is big, the visitor's side is not so big. This is as it should be!😎
  4. I vividly remember the last time Cathedral played a semi-state game in Evansville. It was in 2009 and to begin with the fan bus could not leave school because someone scheduled the departure during dismissal time. It was a mess. Well, we were late getting started and arrived in the vicinity of Reitz Bowl late, and the bus driver didn't know where to go. We were to go to a remote area and another bus was to shuttle us to the game. We ended up being dumped, and I mean dumped, 3 blocks from Reitz Bowl. We could here the PA and see the lights but we had to walk those three blocks uphill and it was steep. We had elderly people that couldn't make it up the hill without help, and I had just had serious cancer surgery two years before and I was no help. We ended up getting to our seats 11 minutes before kickoff. We were told that the team didn't arrive until about 45 minutes before game time. Reitz scored quick and often and we suffered a 31-10 loss. It was good that we had friends save seats or us. We even lost our QB, Kofi Hughes, in the first half and had very little chance for a comeback. Then on the way home, the Cavallo bus driver decides he needs a cup of coffee, so he stops at a McDonalds and spent about a half hour drinking his coffee. We returned home about 3AM. It was a night from hell if there ever was one!
  5. Some things just never change!🀣
  6. I'm not much for rankings but found this worthy of notice. Center Grove is ranked 13th in USA Today, and 19th in Max Preps. Cathedral is ranked #24 in USA Today, and #21 on Max Preps! Nice to see Central Indiana football on the map!
  7. As much as I hate to miss a game, my gang is staying home this Friday. Just too many miles for old folks. I guess we'll be paying the IHSAA either way. It kinda makes you wonder!
  8. It's hard to stay awake watching Da Bears this season! It's almost like watching cement dry. Their main need is a QB, and I don't think that's in question.
  9. I'm not sure how far I69 goes up north, but it gets to at least Bloomington. I have relatives all over Martin and Daviess Counties, so I get down there quite often. I live on the far west side of Marion County so I take I70 to 231 and go to either Loogootee or Washington. BTW, Stoll's Lakeview is a great Amish Buffet 2 1/2 miles north of Loogootee on 231. I took I69 from Washington to Bloomington last summer (2019) and it was a nice ride but there are no gas stations, restaurants or rest areas up that way. You need to not be hungry, low on gas or have too many liquids in your body when driving up that way. I understand it still hasn't grown much since then. Have a safe trip, and stay safe!
  10. .500 against an instate rival is unthinkable! IMHO, the Wolverines need a new voice in the room.
  11. If I were a few years younger I wouldn't hesitate to make that trip. At my advanced age I tend to agree with you that i's probably better to stay home and pay the $15 to watch on the net or go to George's and have a sammich.
  12. How many Irish fans are making the trip down? I'm sure most the the parents and families are going to the game. We are still trying to decide if we should make the trip. A few years back it wouldn't be a problem, but old age is a problem when traveling that distance in a day or even a weekend. I hate to miss a game but then again.
  13. Anytime a game of interest is on, it's prime time for this old fan! I never worry about the network's placement of a game. Noon to midnight most Saturdays is prime time!
  14. When you can't beat your two biggest rivals, there comes a time for replacement. It's as simple as that.
  15. This may be Harbaugh's last year at Michigan. He just hasn't won enough, especially the big games, Michigan State and Ohio State. He has shown he can coach up or recruit a QB either.
  16. It's a nooner!
  17. https://www.cincinnati.com/story/sports/high-school/ohio-high-school/2020/11/13/st-xavier-plays-pickerington-central-football-di-state-title-game/6277644002/ I think this link is OK!
  18. The Bombers won the Ohio State Championship: https://www.cincinnati.com/story/sports/high-school/ohio-high-school/2020/11/13/st-xavier-plays-pickerington-central-football-di-state-title-game/6277644002/ I'm not sure why that link won't work, but St. beat Pickerington Central 44-3, scoring 30 points in the first quarter. It was Pickerington Central's first loss of the season.
  19. I was a fast pitch softball catcher in my younger days and I once caught an early spring game in snow showers. It was hard to pick up the ball at time it was snowing so hard. It was fun to talk about after the game though.πŸ˜‰
  20. Nice win for the Irish! It seemed as though there was a bit of a letdown early on, but the finally got rolling. Three TO's is not acceptable though. They must clean up that aspect of their game, for sure!
  21. I don't predict games but Cal Preps predicts a 46-0 Irish win.
  22. Football players are always warm, as they have pads and uniforms to keep them that way. That's a lot different than baseball, and especially soccer. Besides, when you're young and fired up the weather is not as important to you as it is the older folks. That's my honest opinion.
  23. It was almost balmy, for this time of year, last night as long as you were dressed for it.
  24. I hope you're right! I'm trying to figure out if I want to drive all that distance to watch the game. I'm a loyalist but that's a long round trip. I've been the Evansville area three times for Cathedral games but I was much younger then.πŸ€”
