I totally agree! Not only were they fast, they were also quick! It's fun to play against the GCL. They bring it every night!
It started with the Bishop Chatard game. The first three games were somewhat penalty free.
It wasn't the prettiest but the Irish won their 6th straight game 37-28. It was a combination of some clutch offense, some clutch defense and some timely special teams. They still have to work on covering kickoffs though.
I've seen all three games of this series and they have been exciting, especially the game that Otis Shannon rushed for a then state record 489 yards. I expect another good one tonight.
Terry Lee no longer has a dealership in Avon. He sold out to a Georgia conglomerate a couple of years ago. He still owns a dealership in Noblesville and continues to help out with closed captioning on TV. He's a great guy to work for as I worked part time, about 2 1/2 years, for Terry's dealership in Avon.
It's always nice to go unbeaten, but leaving Lucas Oil Stadium with the hardware on Thanksgiving weekend is what it's all about. Only six teams finish the season with a win.

The Irish had chances to put it away but the defense really got it done at the end. In fact we got to celebrate the win twice.
Next up on the Irish GCL schedule is LaSalle. This one won't be easy either.
It was two good teams going after it! It was fun to watch! St. X is scary right down to the last second. They didn't get it done tonight but the Irish gave them some chances. Hopefully I'll be back to see some more before the year is over!
As you might imagine, Bob, there is no tailgate this year due to COVID. I really miss it!
We're in the middle of a GCL stretch that usually is very competitive. I sure hope that's the case this year.
Have a good weekend!
Thanks Bob! I am real, well sort of anyway! I hate to whine, but when you've been doing something most of your long life, you really miss it. Maybe I'll just show up at Arlington and watch through the fence.🙃
Almost everybody knows me as I've been at Cathedral sporting events since the mid-1950's. I've had promises of tickets but only have attended one game. I used to get updates and scores from the staff at Cathedral but I don't anymore. I guess I am kind of an outcast.😁
I am unable again to find the JV and Freshman scores. I can't even log in to the Cathedral "notify me" anymore. Would someone please post those scores?
