  1. That is because classes in the IHSAA aren't determined on if a school is in a Urban or Metro area. It's determined by enrollment. Park Tudor (a private school) located in prime area in Indianapolis has the same pool of potential players and have won 5 games only 1 time in the last 15 years. most years a 2 win or 3 win season is the norm and there are several 1 win and even an 0 fer.
  2. I will make the solid argument for Emil Ekiyor (there is a reason he is starting at Alabama right now). Here is 1 highlight tape of his Sr season at Cathedral. He made a switch from Tackle to Center (his Tackle highlights are just as good as his Center highlights. He is a Guard for Alabama currently very fundamental and multi position OL. That being said Fisher is a great OL as well.
  3. Not fired up what so ever and have no ties to Covenant Christian. I'm stating even if he was at WC as a freshman or soph what does it have to do with anything. He was at TC Howe and transfered to CC only after Howe closed its doors. I am asking you if he did (which it has been stated that he didn't) go to WC for 2 years what is your point? Does WC give their kids a special drink (ala Space Jam) and it makes them so much better? There are kids that transfer ALL the time (I'm sure South Adams isn't immune to transfer or move in kids). T.C. Howe closed completely for good, what is the issue if his parents chose CC afte Howe closed?
  4. You are still on this? Heck even the link you have given has 1 lone highlight play. Regardless he didn't transfer from Warren Central to Covenant Christian. He enrolled at CC after T.C. Howe closed their doors. Even if he did attend WC as a Frosh and Soph like you claim, what did it have to do with the CC vs SA game? Kids move and transfer EVERY year mostly at Public schools. So I am failing to see where it would be an issue?
  5. I think I just found your Zoom session Coach Nowlin!! All in fun my man! Have a good laugh and great day!
  6. Well to start that is the solution. Then after 2 years when the 50 roster team hits a Public 81 roster team, those teams have to be moved to 8A. Then we will keep adding them until said 50 roster team wins State, then we can stop. (full on sarcasm)
  7. Why invest in a Hi-Pod X31 when you can have WTHR or another news station film practice from a helicopter! 😆 Some who have been around will get it (sorry WC fans was meant in fun). Yes, he would be a great candidate for the WC job though. He did well at Pike.
  8. Really limited on when MIC schools can be schedules with any team. Mic teams are usually only available to schedule non-conference weeks 1, 2, and 9. The Cincinnati schools Cathedral plays happen 4, 6, and 7 which is when most teams are playing their conference schedule.
  9. Both games should have been 2-0 win. All Forfeits are considered a 2-0 victory over the forfeiting team.
  10. Good name to throw out there. One interesting thing is his flex-bone offense is very similar to the early years of Kevin Wright at Warren Central.
  11. I know you used Maxpreps. That is why I stated it is inaccurate and the actual roster is available in the IHSAA Finals program and also on Chatard's website. 2013 was also the year the success factor was introduced. Heritage Hills will not have to worry about Chatard next year because Chatard will be moving up to 4A. It moves highly successful teams up a class all by a point system. needs tweaked to 4 years but it is a good system. By the way you brought up Pike Central and Tecumseh, they can't compete with their 1A and 3A Public counterparts so no they won't be able to compete with CC or Chatard. Just like Bishop Noll can't compete with most of 2A. My point is what will you do if they put P/P in a its own class, then a public school with more rostered players continues to win want them moved into their own class? Just keep doing that until there are no teams with more rostered players and that State Championship is achieved. Just an FYI 2018 wasn't the only year there was 1 P/P State Champion. Heck 05/06 saw 0 P/P State Champions.
  12. What about Craig Chambers would that be a possible candidate to apply. East side ties as former HC at Howe. He does have HC and Assistant AD jobs currently at Tech. Just tossing a name out there.
  13. You can go to the official IHSAA State Championship program (link provided) to count the Chatard roster 81 players listed. I am sure they would love to have 107 players on their Varsity roster though. https://www.ihsaa.org/portals/0/Flip Book/2020-21/fb/index.html Also 2020 6 classes 5 P/P State Champions, 2019 6 classes 3 P/P Champions, 2018 6 classes 1 P/P Champion last 3 years data.
  14. We got to witness first hand who the better QB was between Westfield and Cathedral first one was 7 of 14 99 yds 2 TD 8 carries for 30 yds, the other 18 of 26 201 yds 5 TD's 7 carries 109 yds 2 TD's. In the CG game CG's QB wasn't having his best game even throwing a pick 6 that covered 70 yds. He did though redeem himself with the final drive after Cathedral turned it over on downs. That being said with the style of Offense CG has they don't always unleash to show what their QB can do so it's a tough comparison. I'll also state Cathedral's WR wasn't going to get a lot of offers for football because he already committed to playing baseball at Louisville and schools found he would be pursuing baseball not football.
  15. Nope had a great day. Yes it is ignorant to expect Oldenberg Academy enrollment 219, Trader's Point Christian Academy enrollment 126, and Providence enrollment 385 to compete against Roncalli enrollment 1,188, Cathedral enrollment 1,099, and Bishop Chatard 714. Just as ignorant as saying Heritage Hills enrollment 601 should have to play in the same class as New Palestine enrollment 1,175, Center Grove enrollment 2,521, or Decatur Central enrollment 1,845. Chatard maybe rostered 80-81 players at most, on the field its 11 vs 11 though 50% of the roster didn't even cross the sideline except to head to and from the locker room. I doubt Evansville Memorial had more rostered players than Heritage Hills. The success factor will bump succesful teams up Public or P/P it needs tweaks but it works. I didn't see a problem with New Palestine comfortably beating Whiteland, Franklin, Cathedral, Bloomington South, or Valparaiso with roughly half the roster of all those teams last year. So c'mon man.
  16. I hear it is a great place to get directions to the Interstate on your way to Wally World. Clark told me they were very friendly and only charged him some hubcaps on the family truckster. 😆
  17. I know you like to bring up SES Socio Economics, but how do you explain East St. Louis in Illinois or some other schools lacking in SES from other states? What do they have that poor SES schools in Indiana don't have (honest question). I mean if there is any school with terrible SES it would be East St. Louis Flyers (by a long shot) not even comparable to terrible SES in Indiana. Yet they can win Illinois 7A State Championships. I think some try to use it as a crutch, but it can and is overcome in multiple states.
  18. Heck no he won't sniff McCulley's "Career Record" who has ever disputed that. Can't sniff a 3 year career starters career when you've only been afforded 1 year as a starter after waiting behind a very good 2 year starter. Heck the kid even made switch to WR last year just to get on the field because they had a extremely good 2 year starter. Some background becomes healthy. McCulley's seasons 2020 7-4 lost sectional champ, 2019 4-7 lost sectional champ, 2018 3-7 lost 1st rd. McCahill's lone starting year 13-1 with a strong schedule (they weren't chumps look at Cathedral's schedule) and State Championship
  19. Yep chose another QB while a very good QB didn't make it out of Sectionals. No chance for McCahill to win Mr. Football now unfortunately. McCulley is a very good QB. Shows me it is not an award for top Senior but what a player does over 4 years of football only. McCahill had an excellent season and while some want to ignorantly state his numbers are inflated by the Jet Sweep/shuffle pass those that have actually watched know he was a terrific downfield passer excellent running QB and a great leader. Steele will also be a great choice but its a shame McCahill can't even have the battle with the terrific season he had. Ultimate team player that switched to WR while waiting his time at QB behind a 2 year starter (my personal opinion) and came out on fire this year.
  20. Ignorant statement to be honest. The Jet sweep that is actually a shovel pass (Peyton Manning even utilized it). Accounted for maybe 10 TD's passing and was only ran when they were inside the 5 yard line or short yardage situations. To say it inflated his passing yardage is totally ignorant to say when it maybe accounted for 70 yards total on his total passing yards. While I can see you saying Passing TD's and possibly completion percentage (event though that is not accurate) it is a reckless statement to make. Here is the young man's hudle highlight's not one of them was of the "Jet Sweep" / "Shuffle Pass" which was an extremely small portion of his passing yards and TD's. http://www.hudl.com/v/2EiVNe
  21. Almost as simple as moving Heritage Hills to 6A to duke it out with Ben Davis, Warren Central, Center Grove, and Carmel. Pretty simple. Pretty much the same ignorant thought process as expecting Oldenberg Academy, Providence, or Trader's Point Christian playing in a Class with Cathedral, Roncalli, or Chatard for a State Championship.
