Those 29 flags you keep trying to add in there were either declined or offsetting penalties that did not actually result in penalty yards. The 11 offsetting penalties was the most in the league, btw, another telling stat.

The NFL is an entertainment industry and the referees are on their payroll, of course they control them. They're in business to maximize profit. Yes, it's my opinion based on what I see during the games. When you're compiling your own data, you can make any claim you want. The NBA and WNBA are the same scenario. All of professional sports may be that way, but football and basketball are the only ones I pay any attention to.
