  1. Given, the regular postseason success of Memorial, Southridge, Gibson and Heritage Hills, it's remarkable they are likely to be in 3A. I doubt it will happen again for a very long time. Too bad Mater Dei likely won't be going the party.
  2. If only all we entrepid sports journalists were deemed worthy and needed of covering sports again...
  3. If you need assistance hosting or formatting, holler back
  4. For some reason this HH team has seemed like it comes out and imposes its gameplan on the opponent early. As an observer I believe they have not done a good job in recent years of imposing their style. I know the staff prepares as hard as any in the state, so I am not sure what has changed. I am confident internally they have rediscovered some things which should translate to success on the field. Let's see what happens after Chatard punches them in the mouth.
  5. How could you know which side of the line Pike Central will fall when we have no idea where such a line will be? Also, there is no real line. More like stacking decks of cards. Pike Central talk in November? First for everything.
  6. Not sure the IHSAA has any real obligation to publish its rules in media. As long as the majority of their members pay dues, all we can do is smile and say, Thank You.
  7. As always it is about the line of scrimmage. With the exception of 2019, Heritage Hills has matched Chatard's line play since the 2001 game. 2002 was a turning point in the HH strength program... Now, let's see if Heritage Hills has the Jimmies and Joes to contain the Trojans. I'm confident the coaching staff will have a scheme in place to possibly make some plays. Let's get it on! Chatard beats you by not making mistakes and then exploiting your mistakes. Hoping for a clean game.
  8. Away team is responsible for having jerseys which contrast the home team, I believe. Queue @Bobref to clarify...
  9. Should've come back on Sunday and played the 3A champion... debatedly the best ever team in 3A (or 1999 Roncalli, TW argues).
  10. This is horrible. It's like trying to put a bandaid on a bleeding artery.
  11. You were 10 and don't remember the last Indiana High School Single Class Basketball Tournament ever conducted? What type of childhood did you have? Was the abuse really bad? It seems you never recovered (the affiliation with Purdont...) Yikes!
  12. I assume Chatard will wear the White on Whites? Heritage Hills wore Blue on Blues for semistate (and the 2019 finals) I'd guess they will go for Blue on Red (my favorite and the traditional combo)
  13. I was looking through some old statistics and I saw that Milan and Park Tudor recorded a 0-0 tie, Sept 7, 2001. Anyone remember what happened? It was the weekend before 9/11. NOTE: Milan and Park Tudor played to a 0-0 TIE on Friday, September 7 https://predictor.gridirondigest.net/SagarinRatings/Archives/INHSFB_Ratings_Sagarin_2001_Week15.html
  14. Loser has to give the winner a one year #TGD membership, or are we bordering on amateur athletics gambling (if that's even possible in the NIL era?).
  15. Tons of respect for the Vikings going all the way back to the Mott ('96-97 days), but.... How many people had North Posey or Luers in this one at the start of the season?
  16. What's the state of high level, big school football in Indiana? Are we still competitive in the Midwest? What about vs. neighbors like Ohio, Kentucky and Michigan?
  17. Jon and Zach's "little" sister was a heck of an athlete too. Krista ('03), I believe, has a son who is a middle schooler also... I see her posting wrestling highlights quite a bit. Credit their mother, Janice (Tom's widow), with running a daycare growing up in the 90s with a reputation of, "If you go to the Goldsberry's, you might come home with a few bruises, but you'll learn some basic wrestling moves."
