Several times actually including last night. Heck they didn't convert a 3rd down in the 1st half last night. That doesn't preclude them from being arguably the best team in the state but to imply they've moved the ball with ease all year against everyone is inaccurate. They do a great job of making big plays and doing what they need to do. But by no means are they unstoppable.

I think they are. And I agree 100% on this being a pick em game.

No one is looking down on Warren. There are 2 inarguable facts, 1) Warren has a great program, arguably the best in the state 2) fan support at games is embarrassingly bad I don't pretend to know why, but the stands are at best half full, usually significantly less

That's true. But even with that there will be about 3 dozen max on the home side.

I like that it's at New Pal. I've seen a couple Irish games and listening to tonight's it's very similar. Lots of big plays but against good defenses they struggle a bit to move the ball. It will be interesting to see how New Pal defends them. And can Cathedral make the Dragons throw it and limit Spegal. Should be an instant classic.

100% agree this will just be the most he's lost by far from 1 season to the next. But the program he's developed is pretty deep especially accounting for the size of school New Pal is.

Seeing as his wife is from New Pal I don't see that happening. That said his biggest challenge is coming up next year with 22 seniors on this years team with a roster size in the upper 50s lots of talent is graduating.

That happens alot in Ohio as well

I was tempted to go to this one instead of New Pal but I decided if I'm going to freeze to death, I might as well do it watching my team win a sectional.

For me that's not an argument against all in. It's an incompetent state high school athletic association allowing it to happen and an unethical coach.

If that's the case it should still be closer. Cathedral and New Pal are less than a point difference in Sagarin.

Not sure what demographics has to do with anything. My point was Warren's was more impressive for 2 reasons, tougher competition and rules regarding where you can draw your students from in a public v private environment. Anyone winning that many in a row is amazing. But there are some advantages for private schools. I don't think they are what they once were but when schools like LCC, Cathedral, Chatard develope great programs there are kids and families who will send their kids there for that reason. Typically an excellent high school education goes along with it. And I say more power to them, great job building success. You can see the same thing in public schools like New Pal currently who have built great programs but not as extensively because that involves families moving into the district. But let's not pretend it doesn't exist.

And didn't Cathedral win 5 in a row in 2 different classes from 2010-2014? Not too shabby there.

Why? Because you said so? You can recognize one accomplishment as being great while also recognizing another similar accomplishment is better. That in no way diminishes the first. And nothing I said was untrue or unfair.

No disrespect to LCC but Warren's 4 peat is more impressive. Much harder to so at the big school level. Especially when it's a public school without the advantages a small private school has over small school competition.

I agree with everything you said. I was just shocked by John Harrell's percentages.

Just a crappy deal for Carson the way everything went down and having to miss his entire junior year. I feel bad for the kid. That said I think CG can still win State. To stay on topic I'll take CG in this one 27-14

Surprised at how big a favorite Cathedral is in 5A. I tend to agree they might be a slight favorite. But its kind of shocking that they are as big a favorite as they are.
