Question for you, what was your excuse when TTUN lost like 9 times in a row to Ohio State with Scumbaugh starting 0-4 vs. the Buckeyes? I seem to remember TTUN idiots, er “fans” screaming for his head… Let me know when you beat the Buckeyes 9 times in a row over the next few years… Edited December 22, 2024 by Komets2727 Quote

Harbaugh changed the makeup of Michigan’s identity as he has everywhere and built the team from the inside out (in the trenches). OSU is a finesse offense. Never wanted him gone. Just like OSU with Day right now. Who out there is a significant upgrade? Michigan has to win 5 more consecutively for me to have a leg to stand on huh? Sounds fair. Harbaugh must be damn good at cheating to win everywhere. Edited December 22, 2024 by temptation Quote

The other 17 that came in for the '24 season were from elsewhere. You can only beat the teams that show up for kickoff, so no bones to pick with what IU did this season––it should be remembered by IU fans for being a historic season. I disagreed with a different post the insinuated the JMU players that followed Cignetti wouldn't be or weren't recruited by Ball State, so, therefore, they are worse than Ball State's players. The top-flight FCS teams, which James Madison was under Cignetti, can rumble with almost any mid-major. I'm not sure FCS James Madison would have lost to Ball State in 2021, nor do I think 2022 or 2023 Sunbelt James Madison would have lost to Ball State. Go back and check…never said IU had 30 transfers from JMU. Perhaps someone else did. I agree with you that the JMU players that came to IU were very good and would have been recruited by a number of teams. Probably were before committing to Cignetti and IU. Quote

Easy for you to say because ND won. while I agree, the campus atmospheres were electric, the inconsistent criteria which was used to determine seeding has to go. By no means am I saying they would’ve won but I think everyone is in agreement that the 8/9 matchup last night would’ve been entirely different had it been in Knoxville. No reason Penn State should have an easier path than Oregon or Ohio State. Edited December 22, 2024 by temptation 1 Quote

temptation Posted December 22, 2024 Posted December 22, 2024 (edited) Fun exercise: Who would have been the four teams this year in the old format? 1. Oregon 2. Georgia 3-4: Notre Dame, Texas, Ohio State, Boise State, Penn State, Indiana, SMU (can only pick 2) Edited December 22, 2024 by temptation Quote

I think Boise would have a case, having only lost to Oregon by 3 but then again the rematch comes into play. Edited December 22, 2024 by temptation Quote
