Helluva way to lose a game. Seems like the playoff setup could be problematic with the guaranteed spots. 3 ranked teams are going to lose in their conference championship. You also have teams like Tennessee, Penn State, and even IU who may benefit from NOT playing in a conference championship game.

We are also likely going to see a 3 loss team get in. With the 3 that lose their conference championship, Alabama is in a good spot to find their way back in. If Georgia loses the SEC Championship, they likely stay in the playoff.

Quite a mess

This is not an ideal situation at all.  It should be the 12 best teams in the nation and not be complicated with conference standings.  But that's just my two cents.

I brought this up at the end of last season as a possibility between Ohio State and Michigan, that with their records last year, they could have easily played 3 times in a 12 team playoff in one season. well, here we are......although not the same 2 teams, Ohio State and Oregon very well could play 3 times this season. It will be very likely that they play twice.

So NOW imagine this......Oregon beats Ohio State in the B1G Championship. They get through the playoffs and meet in the Championship. In a 3 game series, Ohio State would only have to win once against Oregon to win a title. While the 12 team playoff is intriguing, this scenario could piss off a LOT of people on all sides. SEC folks could see the same scenario between Texas and Georgia.

Georgia wins 44-42 in 8 overtimes.

Tough one to watch as I was really pulling for GA Tech.  They played well and thought they dealt with some tough calls and non-calls that played a major role in the outcome.  But, that is how the cookie crumbles.

Wow Blue

HATE seeing the BS at the end though.

What comes around, goes around. Bet Will Howard not chirping in the camera today.

Perhaps media might now believe IU’s win over Michigan is a tad more impressive

Can't fault Ohio State, imo. They can't let Michigan try to plant their flag in the O.

Yea….that classy Ohio State team and its fans….

LOL. Yeah, that’s trashy. Still don’t think Ohio State players should just let the Michigan players plant TWO Michigan flags in the middle of the O. Would Michigan players allow the same in Ann Arbor?

How about showing more fight in the previous 60 minutes than you did post game?

Can’t play the victim after trying to be the bully 7 days prior.

Was never really a believer in karma…until yesterday.

Harbaugh snitched on Ryan Day in 2020 and that summer Day vowed to “hang 100 on Michigan.”

Four years later, he’s still 16 points short.

Also, though Kelly is their play caller, surely Day provides input to the game plan throughout the week.

That being said, and yes it was windy but running straight at Michigan’s two first round defensive tackles repeatedly in order to prove some sort of “toughness” will turn out to be Day’s ultimate undoing unless they rattle off four in a row to end the season.

Finally, I’ll leave you with this stat…

After Ohio State's missed FG late in the third quarter to keep the game at 10-10, here's how both sides played the rest of the game out:

- Michigan: 27 plays, 134 yards, 15:01 TOP
- Ohio State: 7 plays, 10 yards, 1:57 TOP

Also, Michigan was without its best offensive and defensive player and lost Donovan Edwards before halftime.

2021:  “It was cold and we had the flu.”

2022:  “We’re tough.  It was just a few big plays.”

2023:  “They had our signs.”

2024:  ???

Agree with point 1. Would Michigan players ever let OSU plant a flag in AnnArbor regardless of how they acted leading up to the game?
