On December 5, John Skinner from Evansville North (Principal and Conference President) sent a message through the IHSAA to all member schools with the subject: Conference Expansion.  It said the 10-member SIAC (listed all 10 including Vincennes Lincoln) is looking to expand their conference membership and asked any interested schools to contact him.  I would assume they are either trying to get ahead of Lincoln’s departure and find a school to announce as their replacement when they make it known VL is leaving, or they are looking to expand with some smaller members to keep VL from leaving.

I think there is one SW Indiana school who would be interested in joining the SIAC.  From the rumors I have heard, there were two other SW Indiana schools who don't want any part of it. 

I think the other drawback is there are two or three current EVSC schools who have little to no fan support for football.

It's going to be a tough sell NOW for any PAC schools since the conference allows so much non-conference flexibility.  There was a time when some might have said having to find non-conference games was too much of a pain....the general consensus I hear around the conference now is that it is desirable and well-liked.

I’ve seen nothing regarding the Jasper  or the Mater Dei positions. It seems like most hires are announced towards the end of the school year.

Figured it was coming soon. For their sake, hopefully they are allowed to. They would be successful in that conference. For the sake of the SIAC also, it would be nice to see them be able to schedule one non-conference game.

Looks like it was an unanimous vote, seems like a timetable hasn’t been mentioned yet.

It definitely was, I had to go off the Memorial-Castle game since I couldn’t find a starting lineup graphic. Since I used the Indiana SRN ones.

With Lincoln leaving (if WIC approves), a regular season non-conference game will be fun to watch since the 2019 season.
