Teams that receive bye last season went 0-4. Does that concern IU fans? It's been a long break and first round teams get a tune up game. Huge disadvantage in my opinion.

I think there is always a concern with the rust factor. I am glad Omar gets another week to heal his injury and the new edge gets more practice reps. First start against Bama or OK.

IU took some grief for their non conference schedule. Old Dominion won their bowl game last night comfortably over South Florida…USF ranked in top 25 much of the season. ODU finished season 10-3. Kennesaw State is also 10-3 and plays their bowl game Friday night.  Maybe those 2 teams not the patsies everyone made them out to be…..

Eh, two of those teams were Boise State and Arizona State. Oregon got buzz-sawed the same way that Tennessee did by Ohio State, and Georgia never looked rusty against ND. I’m not sure the byes had much to do with it, at least not based on one year’s worth of results.

When you're 13-0 and have beaten Ohio State on a neutral field, the rest of the schedule becomes a moot point.

I can get on board with that.

I think KS plays their bowl game in Myrtle Beach Friday at like 11 am.  TPMS was talking about it yesterday

Hometown Oregon appears to be the favorite. Strong winds suggesting TCU QB Josh Hoover will be next years signal caller. Threw for 7500 yards and 56 TD’s the last two seasons, was once an Indiana commit out of high school.

I have heard thru multiple sources that Hoover is their main target. We will see

Makes sense. Believe he was 2nd in the country in RPO attempts and completion % behind Mendoza last year, IU’s bread and butter.

Seems like a tough spot to be in. Bring in another 1 year QB? Imagine being in Alberto Mendoza's spot. Would he enter the portal?  I am sure he would be given a fair shot to compete for the starting spot, just seems like this is where NIL money could become more of a factor. The NIL group spends $2 Million on Hoover, it seems like the expectation would be for him to start.

Mendoza still a redshirt freshman and the oldest returning QB on the roster. They have to bring in someone with experience. Still think Mendoza gets two more years to start after next season.

Has Indiana really proven they can win any type of Tournament game outside their home state?

I'd say beating a top 5 team on the road 2500 miles from home is a good place to start.

Oregon was #2 at the time IU beat them in Eugene, ending the longest home winning streak in the country.

The only ranking that counts is the one at the end of the year. At least that's what they tell Notre Dame when they put ranked opponents out of the poll.

Indiana doesn't have to justify themselves to anyone. They've done enough over the last two seasons.

Doubling down, just can’t help yourself…

I asked a simple question. Can you answer it truthfully?

No one has answered it yet without spinning it into something I didn't ask, or again with the insults. Or both.

Rising the way IU did, the questions have been inevitable. Last year, it was but can they beat Ohio State?

This year going in, it was can they win at Oregon, then Can they win at Penn State, then can they beat Ohio State. There will always be that next question for them. Whole lot of Bama fans and many others who still doubt this team.....Hell as used to what IU has done in my lifetime, I had doubts along the way. When they beat Ohio State, I learned that I am going to stop asking. IU can play with anyone in the country and compete.

I already did. You beat who the Hoosiers have beaten the last 2 years, they can beat anyone. No worries here
