I hope the Irish defense can find itself today!  26.5 is a lot to overcome if they're giving up points like they have been.  Scoring hasn't been much of a problem.

Well, that series answered my question.  The Irish defense ain't stoppin' anyone this year, until Marcus takes over the defense.  That drive should be embarrassing to the Irish!

Chris Ash wouldn't stand a chance as a high school coach in Indiana. He'd get throttled.

His defense been bad so far this season!  Thank God for the offense, and not just in this game.  Except for the fumble, the Irish offense has been clicking, and running the ball has made that happen.

This team is loaded with talent. Chris Ash would be the sole reason this team sits at home during the playoffs. Freeman needs to take this thing over before it's too late. If he's bold enough to tell a guy like Angeli that he's passed up for a transfer, then he should be bold enough to take this defense over. 

Gotta love how Angeli is killing it over at Syracuse. He might be in the Heisman running if he keeps this up.

This has turned out to be a freaking track meet!

Irish up 42-23, early in the third quarter.  Not much defense on either side.

The Irish defense still isn't up to ND standards.  Arkansas had it's way most of the way down the field, but settled for a field goal.  The Irish responds with some Love!  7-3

More Irish Love, now 14-3.  The offense looks stout so far.

Who needs defense when you have lotsa Love?  Three TD's now for him.   28-10 Irish now.

The Irish had 6 possessions in the first half and scored TD's on all of 'em.  42-13 at half.  CJ Carr is the real deal!

So is Steve Angeli. Kept saying Riley Leonard wasn't necessary.

Notre Dame was a 4 point favorite.  Final score, Notre Dame 56, Arkansas 13.  The defense bent but was much better today.

Because the ND coaching staff didn't know any better. He was good enough to bail Leonard out of trouble when Riley couldn't move the ball down field, but the coaching staff didn't think he was good enough to be their number one guy. He's lighting it up at Syracuse with 10 TD's vs 2 INT's,  and I'm loving every second of it. 

I've said it twenty times. Leonard never should have happened. That should have been Angeli's team. He was committed to Notre Dame from the beginning and should have gotten his shot.

He’s not lighting anything up right now. Torn Achilles tendon, out for the season. Hard luck for what is, by all accounts, a great kid.

Sorry for Angeli's injury, but Leonard took the Irish to the final game of the CFP's last season.  Not bad for an incompetent.

Didn't say he Leonard was incompetent, just saying Angeli would have done the same thing.
