I wasn’t in favor of bringing in a transfer, but I’m not sure Notre Dame plays for the championship, or even makes the playoff, with Angeli. The receivers weren’t as good last year, and the offensive line was much better in the run game than in pass protection. Angeli was sacked on about 14 percent of his dropbacks and Leonard was sacked on about 5 percent of his. Not to mention that, while Angeli led a needed scoring drive against Penn State, we’re a lucky bounce away from that strip sack being PSU ball around the 50 with a little over a minute in the first half trailing 10-0. None of that is to say Angeli is bad, clearly he’s not, but I think the staff was correct that he wasn’t going to be the right QB to get the most out of the offense last year. 1 Quote

temptation Posted September 28, 2025 Posted September 28, 2025 (edited) Irish about to put it on some folks for the next few weeks…style points matter when you start 0-2. Edited September 28, 2025 by temptation Quote
PHJIrish Posted October 4, 2025 Posted October 4, 2025 No 5:30 Saturday night Mass for me. The Irish begin play at 3:30. Quote
PHJIrish Posted October 4, 2025 Posted October 4, 2025 Irish offense is moving the ball well against Boise State, but they're only up 14-7 late in the first half. The Irish have had two unsuccessful 4th down plays. Quote

PHJIrish Posted October 4, 2025 Posted October 4, 2025 28-7 final. The defense was much better today against a very good offensive team. And it was good to have Leonard Moore back! Two picks for him in the game. 1 Quote
Irishman Posted October 4, 2025 Posted October 4, 2025 Have to be more disciplined; over 100 yards in penalties. Solid win though. Quote

Some of those yards have to be credited to Boise State bringing their own officials. In fact, all visiting teams bring their own league officials. Most of the calls were warranted, but there were a few that were a bit questionable. I wish the Irish could remedy this situation, but the only way to do that is join a conference, and that ain't happening anytime soon. 1 Quote

Bobref Posted October 7, 2025 Author Posted October 7, 2025 Did you know there is only one college football program that is in the top 10% of both all time winning percentage and NCAA Graduation Success Rate? Guess. (Hint: It’s not Michigan.) 🤣😂 2 Quote

I also do all of Seymour MS’s home games. Last night I had Brownstown at Seymour, what do you make of that, and more importantly who got screwed? Edited October 7, 2025 by Impartial_Observer 1 Quote

No, being the most recognized brand in the world is what makes one elite. You're only playing that card since your Wolverines won a couple of seasons ago, a very "down" year in terms of competition. 1 Quote
