Brownsburg 2025: Opening Up Against?

Currently, John Harrell’s site shows the 2025 Bulldogs opening with a contest against Jeffersonville next year (which would be an enormous waste of time) but John Hart indicated in a recent interview that an announcement is coming, possibly within the next couple of days, about the Bulldogs opening against a nationally ranked powerhouse.

Any ideas/guesses?

For some reason, I would lean more towards a Chicago suburban powerhouse, given Hart’s roots there.

I could be overthinking it though.

If it is week 1, it cannot be an Illinois school. Their ‘week 1’ is Indiana’s week 2.

This could easily be a big time ESPN matchup. Something like vs St Frances (MD) at the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Or how about an intriguing matchup against Avon, Hoban, or Moeller from Ohio? I don't think IMG is out of the question either.

They could just drive 10-15 mins and play Ben Davis like they used to, but they didn't want that. Don't know why, either. They'd dominated BD in the regular season recently. Oh well! I hope they get IMG. We know that the Ascenders have brought their national team to town recently.

Once you've conquered the state, you're no longer interested in conquering the west side?

Ben Davis' best days are behind them, Brownsburg's best are in front of them.

Conquered the state? So winning the State Championship once means a team has "conquered" the state? So in 2023 BD conquered the state and shouldn't have been interested in playing anyone in the Indy area last year? BD's best days aren't too far behind them... They win the State Championship 2 years ago. What a dumb comment.

My comment was sorta tongue in cheek.  Baiting @BDGiant93 amuses me.

The time has passed where Brownsburg needs to play BD to prove anything is my point.

12-0 Maryland Class A state champs last season. Outscored their opponents in the semi and final 69-7.
