You might be grabbing an incoming transfer QB.... IU asst coach has a kid that can play

If you are talking about the kid from Dunlap, Illinois whose dad is a new assistant basketball coach at IU, he is enrolling at North. He will be a senior this coming season and he would have played behind South's Duncan Combs for sure barring injury to Combs, so he has a much better chance of starting at North which will be breaking in a new starting QB next season.

Damn near Cathedral's entire freshman team transferred to North Central this offseason.

?????  Jumped to a program that has struggled mightily with a first year head coach?  Scratching my head....

Are that many parents really going to change their mind by letting their kids go from private to public? Not sure I'm buying this rumor. I guess "entire freshmen team" could mean 4 or 5 good players.

It’s not that simple if what @Footballking16 relayed to me is true.

I’ve now heard his story from two others.

But what does "near entire freshmen team" entail? If true, this team's chances of winning 5A or 6A in 2028 just got flushed down the toilet.

I will add that even if this is true…the “NC to the semi state” prophecy is absurd.

They left in the middle of the semester, they’re already there. Most, if not all of them, were Washington Twp kids to begin with. It’s a lot more than 4-5, it’s closer to 15.

More specifically, were they public school kids to begin with?

Yes.

It’s more absurd how and why they were at Cathedral to begin with than the fact they all transferred together and at once.

I heard through the grapevine that the North Central coaching hiring process was a mess this time, but hopefully they ended up with a good one. I mean, they've had two good ones the last two coaches, too. People think that they can fix that program, and, on paper, it's definitely prime. It's been a coach killer for new HC's and Hall of Famers alike. If the new coach can fix it longterm, more power to him.
