Good poll Temp. I do think Carroll could beat half of the teams you have in front of them though. 

Dwenger's offense just seems average. But does it matter if no one can score against them? Roncalli, Carroll, and Homestead = 0 touchdowns. This might be the best defense in the state.

What? Who has 45 D1 players? That’s ridiculous? What Indy school has that many. And how does that refer to Andrean? Or Merrillville? I stand by what I said both of these schools should be on this list. As both of them realistically have a shot to be in a title game. Not saying it will happen but they realistically have a good chance. Andeans only comp in the north will be probably Adams central at semistate which on paper there is more talent on the niners. 
 

Merrillville on the other hand? They just demolished who they would see at regionals. Semistate?? Lafayette Jefferson?? Maybe? I don’t know a whole lot about the 5A schools outside of NWI. Concord maybe? But not sure concord can hang with the athletes the pirates have? 
 

again not saying they are state champs but they realistically are favorites in the north to get there. And at some point Merrillville has to break there semistate curse? Andrean has a better shot to win state but both can be there. I’d go out on a limb and say 4? 5? NWI teams make state this year.

How do you have Chatard at 12 and no mention of Lafayette Jeff? Chatard only won by 7 and was losing going into the 4th

Other than the coaches/media (and the rip off job from HPG), I haven’t seen anyone who has Crown Point as high as I do…and you’re advocating for MERRILLVILLE to be in the top 12?

Where is your reality check? The Brickies haven’t been relevant since the 80’s and now they are a state title contender? The chances of all 5 of the teams you mention making semi-state, New Pal not getting out sectionals, and Concord tanking are zilch.

Lafayette Jeff doesn't have any quality wins.  They play in a weak conference and annually are one of the most overrated teams in the state.  Their best win is over Michigan City by 17.  Merrillville beat Michigan City by 37.  Also, Chatard played their backup QB during the Lafayette Jeff game.

I don't think any 2A school this season is good enough to be in the top 25.  However, with their wins against Fort Wayne Luers and Hobart, I think that Andrean will win the 2A state title in late November.

I have no real dog in the fight, but wow that's a lot of disdain for them lol. They passed for almost 400 yards on Chatard's defense, I don't know how that doesn't impress you. While I agree that Merrillville is probably better, Jeff was up like 34-7 against Michigan City at halftime, it wasn't a close game.

If you want to use the transitive property, Plainfield squeaked out a 7 point home win over Harrison while Jeff beat them by 21 and you have Plainfield above them. They must have been pretty overrated when they beat undefeated Crown Point by double digits on the road in sectionals a couple years ago as well

I watched the Chatard vs Jeff game. Excellent game between two very good teams. WJ offense can score on anyone but their defense can be scored on by anyone. BC did whatever they wanted offensively both power running and throwing. 
As this relates to Merrillville, I believe Merrillville offense is as high powered as BC with actually better athletes. LJ defense will give up many points to Merrillville. I also think LJ will score on Merrillville but not at the same rate. Teams that have a strong power running game give Merrillville fits not fast athletic teams like LJ. 
If both teams remain healthy, I’ll take Merrillville by 10+.
