thoughts on bloomington south?

I've heard their good, but I've heard that before only for them to completely fall apart when running into average competition.

They are no doubt at least a top 6-10 5a team, but it's pretty hard to figure out how good they are with having played absolutely no one of note through 6 weeks, although they have blew out almost everyone so far to their credit. They play Columbus North next week which should tell a lot. Regardless, they have a pretty easy path to semi-state where they would run into New Pal/Cathedral

Got em at 31.  Next three weeks (CN and CG) should reveal a lot.

Teams 17-32 separated by razor thin margins IMO.

I'd like to see Carroll in that #15 spot. Maybe dump Warren Central down to #16.

Thank goodness you aren’t pleading Dwenger’s case. Wait, Dwenger beat Carroll in that “field goal thriller” 9-6. Surely, if you want Carroll at 15 where does that put Dwenger???

That gets messy. Where do you put Northrop? They beat Dwenger but lost to Homestead. No thanks. I think Carroll has enough firepower on offense to contend with some of 6A's best. Dwenger has an ELITE 6A defense, but I'd call the offense average 5A.

Full transparency, I have the aforementioned teams ranked 24-27, lol.

I still like Dwenger and Carroll as the SAC's top two teams. All the stars aligned for Northrop to pull off the upset last night. The Bruins lost to Homestead, who got hammered by Westfield, who got hammered by Carmel. I'll roll with Homestead and Northrop being 5A good for now.

Disappointed to pull up this thread and not see any comments saying there should be 5 more teams from the region inside the top 25. Best part of visiting this thread every week and listening to the reasoning behind it.

As a Region Resident (not Rat because I bathe), I am in complete agreement.   In addition to Crown Point; Merrillville, Chesterton, Michigan City, Lowell, Hobart, Andrean all have quality programs. There are more I missed, but sports up here are a big deal.

These squads aren't down for long. They'll be back.

The whole incident that occurred before the season completely derailed the season. No excuse, but 19 players, many of them starters is just too much to overcome. No doubt that Snider will bounce back, but it is a rough watch right now
