Carmel was awful last night. Just watched the game. So many penalties. They were lucky to get out of LC with the win. Brownsburg is back at the top of my list. I didn't particularly think it was close between Carmel and Brownsburg, but it looks like I was incorrect (as Temp would say, "like always").

I spent some time on this and I'm struggling to find any fault in this poll. Impressive Temp. Presuming you have Dwenger at #26? If not, I'm curious what your 26-30 looks like.

My only comment would be to rank dwenger

Also my only current guess is that carmel played their jv the entire game, otherwise I cannot fathom what happened

Was there anything at stake for the Greyhounds? Thinking he was resting starters?

Not sure what to think of Dwenger to be honest. One part of me says #22. The other part says somewhere between 26-30. Dwenger travels to Leo on Friday, we'll find out more.

I love good defensive football

You dont have to score 70 points to win a football game all you gotta do is make them score less than you do.

Northrop down trending? After week 6, they were #24

Week 7     Beat Snider 35-14, then dropped out of your poll

Week 8     Lost to Carroll 38-27. Perhaps you weren't impressed with them being down 27-7 at halftime?

Week 9     Beat Wayne 41-14. Really just took care of business. Nothing more, nothing less.

The bottom 5 or so of his list is just a revolving door of who wins

Don't you agree that Ben Davis should be a permanent stay

What in heaven's name qualifies Ben Davis for the Top 25? I'm not sure they'd defeat Homestead.

You talked me out of Northrop when you told me they only made it respectable because Carroll let up.

Valid. Probably somewhere between 25-35. Hard to say where.

Just curious, I noticed you picked Yorktown to win that sectional which would be over Pendleton (Pendleton won in the regular season).

Had to pick a few upsets and Yorktown getting the bye (even though PH should roll through the bottom half of the sectional bracket) seemed rational.

So, Penn's offense went missing for the second quarter and some of the third. That is partially due to St. Joe having a decent D, but Penn could not stop trying to shoot their feet off. If it wasn't for a pick 6, that game is likely 14-0 at half.

Oh boy am I worried about the sectional title game.

I actually like Penn’s chances against CP… I know I am in the minority on this

Against Indiana opponents Carmel had been pretty solid Lawrence Central being the anomaly.

That being said I have been finding it very difficult to find a team that can stop Brownsburg. Brownsburg is pretty solid in all 3 phases of the game. Outside of the Avon game (which is a big rivalry game that many don't understand not you @BDGiant93 or @temptation ) their defense has been stellar, and only Westfield's defense has held them to 14 points they have scored 29 or more in every other game. It is very hard to pick against Brownsburg this year. With Westfield and Carmel one of them will be knocked out. I just don't see a team that is as solid in all 3 phases in the South as Brownsburg, Center Grove will likely be the best shot just due to outstanding coaching but CG has had some inconsistency too. Lawrence North has twitchy Zay Moore who can create havoc, but can their defense stop Brownsburg? Brownsburg looks to be the most consistent team thus far in 6A.

What the hell happened in that Avon/Brownsburg game that nearly broke the scoreboard?

I too, think that Brownsburg is the most complete team and maybe I am falling into a trap but I also feel like their path through the south is much more daunting than Carmel’s and while I don’t know what is being said in the locker room, I am willing to bet that Carmel and Wright are motivated via redemption and wanting to put Carmel back on the map.

Hart is obviously a great coach but prior to last year had his issues in the postseason…Wright gives me more confidence in that aspect.

I think Moore of CG is probably the most complete coach and LN the most athletic but I don’t trust their defense nor discipline.

Cameron and Warfield went off in that game for sure. Cameron has been throwing up good numbers in passing yards but the Int's have been very high. He did a better job in hitting Avon jersey's with the ball rather than opposing jersey's in the Brownsburg game. I have no idea what happened to Brownsburg's defense in that game maybe they weren't expecting what they saw from Avon's offense. Fortunately for Brownsburg their offense was a machine and able to keep scoring. If Avon beats Ben Davis and Brownsburg beats Pike the game will be in Brownsburg this time instead of Avon.

Not this year. While the Giants have certainly improved in the last few weeks, they're still extremely young. Good years ahead for them.

No question. Avon/Brownsburg is must watch most years no matter the records.
