The Eastbrook/Alexandria game had wild play to force OT.  Saw someone shared a video of it and it was wild.  Eastbrook won the game

The call was CORRECT.  An accepted penalty against either the Offense or Defense does NOT end the game.  In this case, AHS had to accept the penalty in order to take the TD off the board.  Since the clock ran out, EHS gets one UNTIMED DOWN... they then scored.

Absolutely adjucated correctly, no matter what the broadcasting team was screaming about.

Yes, the call was correct but it is only because a score was the result of the play from the way that I read the rule. Now the question is this, had Alex declined the penalty, which they were up 2 after the TD, would Eastbrook get an opportunity to go for a PAT?

Final score:  Guerin Catholic 36, Hamilton Heights 21

Oh, no, it was worse than I thought! First they don't even get a shot at Yermom HS, then they get taken to the woodshed by a Nun with a man's name. I've often wondered what her pronouns were.

On the bright side, Husky wrestlers have more time to prepare for the upcoming season!

In hindsight, Ellick should have used their 4th down to run to the opposing end zone for a safety. Much more time would have gone off the clock.

Yes, but you would be a fool to give the score.  Make them score from (40 yards?) away with the untimed down option.

And NO the call was not determined by the result of the play.  As I said before:  An accepted penalty against either the Offense or Defense does NOT end the game.

Felt like the refs missed a forward lateral and a holding or two during the play, but I understand the chaos of the moment. At the end of the day Alexandria has to find a way to get him on the ground.
