From what I have been told, he will continue in Coaching the Varsity Baseball program

Thanks for the info.  Also interesting that this was the current A.D.'s first football coach hire and he decided to stay "in-house".  We will see what difference if any that will make.

Perhaps, the trust of a coach in the building will help improve amount of players he will have to get out and provide a face and personality the school community already knows and if he has had some success in baseball then why not football?   Many times, imo, folks forget that we are also in the relationship business, building those relationships the right way takes time and perhaps that is the WHY on this hire.

Will be the fourth coach in four years at Southwood. Talking about a team that 5 years ago rattled off 4 conference championships in a row in a conference where they are one of the smallest schools. Very troubling.

And you wonder what kind of "magic" Dave Snyder was pulling off for lo so many years at SW, that others couldn't sustain.  I with the best for the Knights, it's been a tough few years lately.

He had ATH O LETES!

Some of the best athletic talent Southwood ever had on the boys side came through the halls. All homegrown talent.  Same group made serious basketball runs as well.

That being said...Dave Snyder was a great coach for that group as he let them spread it out and fly. It helped that the Blair kid could throw it anywhere he wanted. Even before that group came through, Coach Snyder was able to utilize the athletes he had in his spread O. John Burris on the basketball side did the same thing as well. Stifling full court press 2/3 zone and let the kids run and shoot....because they could. Both coaches found the scheme that fit the kids. Not as many Jimmy's and Joe's right now.
