Frozen Tundra Posted October 15, 2025 Posted October 15, 2025 Week 9 Picks BNL (6-2, 4-1 HHC) at Columbus East (4-4, 4-1 HHC): The battle for 2nd place in the HHC won’t be much of a battle. I expect a running clock in this one. I’ll be at the game so hopefully BNL’s offense keeps me entertained. The Olympians lead the all-time series 41-13 and will try to make it two wins in a row. The Stars, meanwhile, will attempt to secure their third win in the last four meetings. #8/9 Floyd Central (7-1, 5-0 HHC) at New Albany (0-8, 0-4 HHC): Speaking of running clocks, we should see one in this rivalry game. New Albany is going to finish a regular season winless for the first time ever. I bet they regret dropping Jennings County. The Highlanders lead the all-time series 32-25 and have won the last three games. The last two games were shutouts. Can they make it three in a row against the Bulldogs? Jennings County (3-5, 0-4 HHC) at Jeffersonville (3-5, 2-3 HHC): I hate to bring it up again but it wouldn’t surprise me if we see a running clock in this game as well. Jennings County is banged up and I wonder if they’ll try to salvage whatever bodies and plays they can for sectionals. The Red Devils lead the all-time series 31-7 and will try to make it two wins in a row. Surprisingly, the Panthers have won two of the last three. Seymour (2-6) at Indianapolis Crispus Attucks (7-1): This will easily be the best game of the night. The 7-1 record looks good on the surface but the schedule Crispus Attucks plays and the conference they’re affiliated with is rotten. It’s why they still aren’t getting any consideration in any of the three 4A polls. However, I still imagine the Tigers are better than the fifth place team in the HHC. This will be the Owls’ final opportunity for a win this year. While I imagine the game will be close, I’ll give the edge to the home team. Believe it or not, these teams have played each other once before. Crispus Attucks scored a 13-0 win in 1956. Quote
Fkfootball Posted October 15, 2025 Posted October 15, 2025 This may sound wierd coming from a Floyd Central Alumus/Fan. But I really want to see New Albany football get fixed. This rivalry was so much fun in the 90s and early 2000s. I mean, I can't remember the last time I looked forward to the Rusty Anchor game? Even the Semi-State NA team happened in a year where Floyd Central was down. I'm not sure what they need to do? But I would imagine that after a winless season, they would really take a hard look at everything they're doing in regards to football. I know the HC will be blamed. But he's won with good rosters. They aren't producing talent. Plain and simple. Quote

Frozen Tundra Posted October 16, 2025 Posted October 16, 2025 Just need week 9 picks from @Goose10 and we’re good to go. Quote
Frozen Tundra Posted October 17, 2025 Posted October 17, 2025 HHC title on the line tonight. A Floyd Central win locks it up outright for the Highlanders. A loss means they’re sharing it with BNL or with BNL and Columbus East. I highly doubt Floyd Central loses but it’s still worth noting what’s on the line. Quote
Frozen Tundra Posted October 17, 2025 Posted October 17, 2025 BNL leads 3-0 at the end of the first quarter. They kicked a field goal on their opening drive and threw a pick in the endzone on their second drive. East punted on their first drive and are now at midfield on their second drive. Quote
Frozen Tundra Posted October 17, 2025 Posted October 17, 2025 East with a short TD run. They lead 7-3 with 9:35 left in the half. Quote
Frozen Tundra Posted October 17, 2025 Posted October 17, 2025 BNL blocks the punt and returns it 19 yards for the TD. They lead 10-7 with 3:40 left in the half. Quote
Frozen Tundra Posted October 18, 2025 Posted October 18, 2025 East with a 1 yard QB keeper for the touchdown. They lead 14-10 with 39 seconds left in the half. Quote
Impartial_Observer Posted October 18, 2025 Posted October 18, 2025 Interesting……just when you thought they were ready to start basketball season….. Quote
Uncle Bubba Posted October 18, 2025 Posted October 18, 2025 Drove down to watch NA vs. FC. NA is not very good. Coaches arguing with coaches and players arguing with players. Can’t get the right players in for different formations. Looks very unorganized. Quote
Frozen Tundra Posted October 18, 2025 Posted October 18, 2025 1 yard QB keeper by East. BNL was offsides on the PAT so East went for 2 but called a terrible pass play that was intercepted. No return though. East leads 20-10 near the end of the 3rd. Quote
Frozen Tundra Posted October 18, 2025 Posted October 18, 2025 BNL’s QB runs it in for the TD. East leads 20-17 with 10:39 left 1 Quote
Frozen Tundra Posted October 18, 2025 Posted October 18, 2025 East with a major upset. They beat BNL 20-17. They intercepted BNL’s QB four times. He had one TD run and 0 TD passes. Crazy. 3 Quote

So if any of the coaches or coaches wives are reading this, it's not personal. But New Albany needs mass changes. Their culture is so bad right now. I'm saying the right thing for the kids. I welcome a tough rivalry. Quote
Fkfootball Posted October 18, 2025 Posted October 18, 2025 I wasn't able to attend the FC/NA game. But what a game for Luke Jacobi. Sebastian Robertson is one of the best RBs in the state and he's really done the heaving lifting all season. But it's nice to go into Sectionals with that 1-2 punch. Dangerous running game. Quote
