I think the East fans will really appreciate the class shown by both sides here. “Below is a message from a Columbus East fan to Floyd Central Football... I would like to say thank you for being a class act football team athletes coaches and fans. We celebrate a milestone for our Coach Gaddis and you were genuine when you all applauded him before the game started. Thank you for the respect and thank you for your class act. Signed Self Proclaimed Columbus East Football Fan. Thank you and good luck for the rest of your season and future endeavors.” So what spaceship came and abducted the Floyd Fans? 😂😂😂😂 I am mostly kidding... 1

qbcoach13
14 minutes ago, DanteEstonia said: Why is Clarksville a stand alone independence school system? Clarksville was created in the 50's. Before they started the school students were going to New Albany or Jeff. The problem is when they started the school covered only maybe half of the town of Clarksville was covered. So the other half goes to Jeffersonville. There has been talk over the years of joining GCCS but for different reasons it has not happened. If you look on the boundary Map you can see how GCCS completely surrounds Clarksville Schools. http://transportation.gcs.k12.in.us/wp-content/uploads/sites/25/2013/11/Jeff-High.pdf

SPARKS
1 hour ago, DanteEstonia said: That is incredibly petty/dumb. When the various school corporations were formed, there were areas that Clarksville did not want included in the Clarksville Community School corp, such as the Veterans Blvd area, where Walmart/Sams, Target, Lowes are at, was a wasteland of swamp. Long before Green Tree Mall sprang up.....Hwy 131 was a narrow country road. The town limits have nothing to do with the school area. If you think the school systems are crazy, you should see all the various annexations/land grabs of the various cities and towns of Clark County. 1

It seems that allowing school corporation boundaries to be anything other than township boundaries, county lines, or rivers was a mistake.
