From the mouth of former Louisville Male DC and new Providence Head Coach Dan McDonald.

They’re a very talented football team. You watch their film and there’s talent everywhere. The quarterback, running back and their big offensive lineman get a lot of credit, deservingly so, but they have several other players with big-time talent. You watch their defensive line on film, and those guys flat get off the ball. Their linebackers play downhill aggressively and they’re solid tacklers,” McDonald said. “I think had they played Male last week, it would have been a very interesting game. That’s not intended to be a knock on Male, either. FC has a ton of talent on the field. This is the most talented team they’ve had in four years.”

(I’m a homer though.)

Good luck to all HHC teams tonight!

And I should copy and paste what Bless said about BNL tonight and Gaddis makes it sound like East will struggle against Seymour when they play them. What do you think a coach is going to say?   I mean I try to give you a pass on your ridiculous takes but you make it impossible 😀

You told us earlier this week that FC would compete with Elder. ‘cmon man.

I certainly admire FC for scheduling them and it will certainly help them come playoff time. They are certainly the favorite to win the Eastless sectional and they are a very good football team. I love to watch Wenkers Wright run the football.

and I’m very glad the new Providence Head Coach made your day

Good Luck tonight

Stars are extremely outmanned tonight due to players out due to a positive COVID test at BNL. No players have tested positive but in the “area” of a student who did. Part of the what will be an interesting season.

Bloomington North off to a quick 14-0 lead following BNL fumbling the opening kickoff.

Stars driving as the first quarter comes to a close.

Columbus East - 28

Columbus North - 7

3:27 3rd Q.

The East offensive line is dominating this game. The entire team has obviously been a lot more focused from last weeks game. If East had played like this last week they would have beaten Whiteland by a few scores..

I told you this would happen. Gaddis didn’t forget to coach in 1 off-season. Lol. Y’all will be great this year.

The East collapse continues.

After a 1st down on a 3rd down conversion they are called for holding and end up punting. North gets the ball back and scores a TD.

Columbus North - 31

Columbus East - 28

No Mark McDonald this 2nd half after he ran for 123 yards in the 1st on 12 carries (not sure what the injury is).

As I typed that, 40 yard run by the QB Parks, called back for a hold in the backfield.. you can’t make this up

No. Coach McDonald was analyzing the team and not using “coach speak.” Actually I said, “if FC could upset Elder.” Didn’t say they would compete. I’ve been watching Football over here for 30 years and this is the best offense I’ve ever seen at Floyd Central. They can throw the ball all around the field. Our defense is ok. But I guess we will find out a lot more about these guys next week. It seems you are still upset about last season. When you basically guaranteed that BNL was going to beat FC in the Sectional, only to get ran over in Weigleb Stadium. I’ve been pretty complimentary of BNL over the years though.
