Helping the economy: Adults are buying toys for themselves, and it’s the biggest source of growth for the industry: https://www.nbcnews.com/business/business-news/adults-are-buying-toys-s-biggest-source-growth-industry-rcna62354 Quote There are two things keeping the toy industry afloat right now: inflation and a consumer group known as “kidults.” These kids at heart are responsible for one-fourth of all toy sales annually, around $9 billion worth, and are the biggest driver of growth throughout the industry, according to data from the NPD Group. This cohort, which NPD defines as ages 12 and older, has been steadily contributing to the industry for years, but spending has accelerated in the wake of the pandemic, leading to year-over-year gains despite tough comparisons. ... Kidults, who tend to spend more on toys, have a great fondness for cartoons, superheroes and collectibles that remind them of their childhood. They buy merchandise such as action figures, Lego sets and dolls that might typically be considered “for kids.” However, in recent years, toy makers have created product lines just for these consumers, realizing that demand is high for this generation of adults who still want to have fun.

Just a few years ago, I bought a bunch for the family; the plan is to rotate them through. I still enjoy doing them, but have had a couple whoppers lately that were not as much fun. JeffO2
Being the HC in the MIC is a full-time job unless you don't want any of your players to get recruited because the coach can't leave the classroom. The scholarship money and incentive for kids to get grades and participate in football at a high-level pays for itself. Coaches could be in the classroom just like the band and choir directors, but they have to teach different subjects just to get a fulltime job. Instead, we have penny-wise and pound foolish thinking. Sports should be the Gifted and Talented or Advanced Placement of Physical Education. Our current situation is to do without physical education to the detriment of our student's health. Give everyone an "A" for participation so we don't negatively impact the GPA of an honor roll student. It's a joke. 1

You redeemed yourself with that second paragraph but the first one is just…embarrassing.
