Sheridan turf is finally going down. I didn't originally like the idea of the black end zone, but seeing it in-person looks NICE! Can't wait to see it with branding on the field.

Talk to the Back Judge after a couple of GL series in the scrimmage.

I'll post pics of the new Inferno when I can.

On that note, they're doing a lot of improvements to the school itself.

I still need to do that, but I don't think it will be ready in a month, nor does Mrs. Gipper.  The Gipperette?  She just wants a new natatorium...

This was the worst field in southern Indiana. Looks awesome. I love they named it after Coach Ralston. Any chance he might be there for a dedication or anything, I’d love to be there if I can.

There is supposed to be a public dedication on Friday August 9th.  I don’t know what time. As soon as I hear I will try to make sure to post it on here.

Thanks man! I emailed Hank, he said 7:00 on 8/9. He said he’s still working on the agenda but will forward. If I get it I will post if you haven’t.
A lot of memories with Coach Ralston, some pretty good ass chewing among them. Jim was just a pro and an intense competitor.

An update on Lowell: the first three games of the season will all be on the road what do you think that means?

Is that a recent change, or was it scheduled that way?

I don't believe it was scheduled that way...

If it wasn't originally scheduled that way, then I'd say that's indicative of some sort of delay.  However, it could be multiple things.  Hopefully I'm wrong.

I don't think you are.  The whole schools is a mess: lots of construction equipment around and a messed-up parking lot which was very small already.

Hearing that Boonville’s field is getting finished during the night tonight then that company is starting on Castle’s soon.

They are using ground up coconut husks instead of black rubber pellets.

Good golly. I guess Castle doesn't have a home game until Sept 6th.

I was told that too. First time I've heard of that being used. Sounds more environmentally friendly.

Castle usually hosts the scrimmage with Memorial. If the crew starts tomorrow, I bet they'll be playing on it next Friday. It is pretty wild how quickly they can get them installed.

Franklin county used the coconut nut husks last season and it was not well liked. Lots of footing issues, have a mix this year of pellets and coconut husks.

If they haven't broke ground? No shot

They have all the prep work done. I think its just a matter of installing the carpet. Those crews are incredibly efficient, so we'll see.
