  2. Keep track of who has committed and been offered where! Please post reliable sources. Who is going to kick us off?
  3. Penn's run D against Valpo was not good last week. Valpo got in their own way. I think this will either be a shootout or low scoring due to limited possessions.
  4. Madison-Grant does Vegas Gold and Oak Hill does Old Gold.
  5. Thank you for the input. What are the specific colors? They look like dark John Deere green and a "corn" yellow? Thankfully, I made the executive decision of no "awards stickers" for all teams. Also, I'm only doing the right side of the helmet which reduces the work by at least half.
  6. What up you Nutters, week 2 is here and there were some surprises and some status quo actions from week 1. Initial reaction, I actually feel like the talent from top to bottom in the WRC is increased greatly from last year. Last week of nonconference and then the nuttiness starts to kick off. Attica at Tri County- Tough go around for the Ramblers, I'll talk more about them in the power rankings post but I question if I was wrong about the Ramblers in the preseason. Tri County is not good and I like Coach Dean and his crew to get it done this week. Attica 27 TC 6 Covington at Englewoods- Covington layed down the wood on Tri County but gain they aren't a good team so I need to see the trojans get battle tested first before jumping to conclusions. What I usually know about these matchup's I like the trojans. Covington 42 EW 20 Fountain Central at Crawfordsville- A bittersweet game for Earl and his crew. A tough loss but a lot of fight and seeing his crew fight without their best player had to be a great sign for Earl and his crew. Cville is good but did not look that tough aganist PH. I anticipate another close game for the Stangs but I'll give the edge to the home team. Cville 22 FC 15 Paris, Il. at North Vermillions- I was surprised by the improvement from the Falcons but they will still struggle while learning how to compete. Paris 34 NV 14 Seegers at Benton Central - Game of the week. Seeger played well and ultimately fell to a good carroll team. BC with Herb will be fired up for this game and I bet there is no love lost for herb to the Patriots. I like Patriots though in a barn burner. Seeger 36 BC 29 South Vermillions at Sullivan- SV looked good in the 1st Half and struggled in the 2nd Half. They are still young but dramatically improved. Sullivan has some dudes and this will be more of a stepping stone game for the Cats this week. I think Sullivan will win but will be closer than last year. Sullivan 35 SV 21 West Vigos at The Woofs- West Vigo is better than I anticipated and so are the woofs but both teams will struggle. I'd like to pick the woofs but I think crabtree will have his crew ready and I like them to win in a thriller. WV 24 PH 20 Riverton Parkes at Tri on Saturday - Well Well Well this squirrel will admit I was nuts to pick against the Panthers but I'll admit when I'm wrong and maybe they are the real deal. They are good but I still think they aren't up there with teams of the past. I know very little about Tri rather than the fact they run and are physical and have had success in the past decade. Learned my lesson I'll take the Panthers by a couple scores. RP49 Tri 21 God I am Nutty or just educated Idk but I'm about to stuff some Wall NUTS down my gullett and spit em out soon. Hang soon for Power Rankings
  7. ETA: Madison-Grant does Vegas Gold and Oak Hill does Old Gold.
  8. Probably. But apples/oranges.
  9. Thanks for the input. That's almost impossible to do. I've tried on other designs, but I'll try again. They are likely to get a thick blue stripe down the crown of the helmet. I couldn't get Madison-Grant's diamond stripe right either, so they got traditional black/white stripes. Which one is Vegas and which one is Old Gold?
  10. I bet they have enjoyed the home grown success of Wrestling these past few years...... 😄
  11. Bloomington North at BNL Columbus East (0-1) at Columbus North (1-0) Jeffersonville (0-1) at Seymour (0-1) New Albany (1-0) at 2A #3/#5 Indianapolis Lutheran (1-0) Whiteland (0-1) at 5A #6/#7 Floyd Central (1-0)
  12. The "O" links creating their chain stripe are a cool touch. Not a huge OH fan, but I do like that.
  13. So... Whiteland smacks East in the scrimmage.. North beats Whiteland in a good game week 1, but now East is going to compete with North and FC will beat Whiteland by "at least 3 scores", some odd stuff going on in this thread. Oh and BNL(who didn't exactly dominate Brownstown in their scrimmage) will beat Whiteland by 35

  16. HH/Apollo could be a good game this year....the fact that we graduated entire O and D lines along with all our linebackers could expose a weakness, or 10. They went into 2 OT with Murray last week, Murray is always good. Dunno what to think of this game this year.
  17. Update "s" in Cougars, chinstrap, American Flag, and neck pad text.
  18. That was the hardest one! Oh I see an issue with the "s" in Cougars. Part of the facemask broke off. Must be a hard-hitter.
  19. Today
  20. North Daviess looks accurate. Haven't seen the rest.
  21. Don't forget about the chain stripe!
  22. The Dogs were just trying to save the lives of a few squirrels by keeping you up late Friday night. I heard you're bringing a golf cart to the Tee-Pee this week to give the elderly rides from their car to the bleachers. What a great guy!!! Hoping the Dogs are drinking extra water this week. Maybe they'll even get in a little conditioning? 😵‍💫
  23. A man once said football is like the stock market....it's silly to talk about past success. A man then also used a lot past history of players and teams now gone to make a point. A man then rightly suggested letting current evidence direct the opinions, but while also referencing coach's past football success. At the end of the day, these early starting rankings are mostly smoke and mirrors of last years success and program reputation, with just a hint of knowledge about returning players, next in line players, and early results. Week 2 may help us a little. I have a lot of question marks relative to my opinions of the area teams from years of first hand observation of this age group, especially SIAC. Question Marks for me: Castle: Genuinely I don't understand the high ranking in this poll or others. Wasn't expecting a strong returning group from a 6-4 team and haven't seen anything otherwise yet. The North game doesn't do it for me and I am not sure enough about MD yet to know if this week will tell us anything, but I think it will. North: Knowing what personnel coming up this year for North, I already had doubts they would repeat last years success. So the Castle game just confirms that for me if my doubts about Castle are confirmed. We will see how it plays out against Memorial this week. Will they be able to keep Memorial offense off the field with 88% run play ball control or change their previous game plan. Gibson Southern: I appreciate all of Titan32's points to be optimistic and I agree with them. I expect them to reload to some extent every year and be a formidable opponent. The question is how formidable. I thought going into this year it would be tough to replace their defense from last year. Regarding the FC game and considering FC having a break out year with a veteran group last year, I personally have my doubts if FC has been able to truly reload, in spite of their current ranking. So the GS/FC game is a question mark for me and I think the FC ranking is based on last years results and the bump up winning against Gibson Southern reputation. We will see how FC does against Whiteland this week. I am not sure what the Week 2 game against St. Pius X with tell us, unless they beat GS handily. I appreciate the hyperbole of accolades to the returning St. Pius X team and players, but they would be a 1A school in Indiana with only 300 students. I would expect GS to be able to beat the Indiana 1A state champion year in and year out. Time will tell.
  24. Yes The other side of the helmet is white. And they put stickers on it like Ohio State does but only on that side.
  25. No. Are you? But I have several friends and acquaintances who are members of the "Rossville community". And I can tell you from discussions with them over the years regarding Hornet athletics that tackle football, at any level, has the proverbial "snowballs chance in hell " of ever becoming reality.
  26. @hhpatriot04, all of those look accurate except Oak Hill. They do a gold helmet with a white logo and navy accents. It is really, really similar to the gold that MG uses for their helmet. Pretty sure the Grant County faithful refer to one as Vegas Gold (MG) and one as Old Gold (OH).
